toothbrush wrote:Hi guys,

Has anyone had experience taking an LSAT at a hotel as opposed to at a university? LSAC has a local (2mile away) Marriott listed as a testing center and I think that would be my best option considering the local schools are already at full capacity.

I am just a little nervous that the conditions will not be optimal or something.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Doesn't look like you have much choice. My advice would be to visit the location prior to the test in order to anticipate any distractions that may be present.

Hell yeah take that shit. youll probably get a continental breakfast before the test, not to mention a room to get a prostitute afterwards.

Probably more likely to get large tables than small desks at a hotel (a good thing). I'd say go for it. Not like you have a lot of choice anyway.

Took my LSAT class in a Holiday Inn, large tables with plenty of space but be sure to bring a jacket or sweater because the hotel was an ice box.

This. I teach in a Holiday Inn and my students bundle up, even though it's 80+ outside.

The Islandia Marriott in Central Islip is definitely the best place to take the LSAT.

It is roomy; there are large tables; cups of water; people to direct you to the restrooms; people to call you taxis; comfortable places to hang out before and during the breaks.

Also, it makes you score 5 points above your average.
