dino game.again!
hi all,
quick question about one of the rules from the dino game..
V is there only if U is not included..
should it not be read as, if NO u then V ? (considering the only if condition ?)
sorry if this is a dumb question but if i do assume this way then it changes everything (for all the wrong reasons!!)
any thoughts??
thanks!

Re: dino game.again!
V---no U
U---no V
V is there only if U is NOT included. U and V can never be included together.
3 possibilites
U is included and V is not
V is included and U is not
They both aren't included

Don't do the formal logic chapters. This comes down to basic conditional reasoning, so review conditional reasoning.greymatters wrote:@vasavasori - perfect! crystal!

Yea I just saw the dino game a few days ago when I was doing PT's. Have no idea what I'd do if I find something like that on my exam on Monday. Probably just walk up and leave the room.

But don't! If you've been studying hard and successfully, and see a crazy game or passage, there's a decent chance it's crazy for a huge percentage of test-takers. Trust in the average mediocrity of the general population. (Sorry general population, I'm only referring to your ability to take the LSAT, a rather small sliver of the range of things that are important for a happy life.)Wily wrote:Yea I just saw the dino game a few days ago when I was doing PT's. Where can I find this dino game, it intrigues me and I do not think I have seen it yet.
(Is it along the lines of the game where birdwatchers are in the forest, and if there are no jays, there are shrikes, and one bird doesn't like 2 of the other birds...?)

I stumbled upon dino game a while ago after hearing how hard it is. It actually seemed pretty easy.PLXTDNR wrote:Where can I find this dino game, it intrigues me and I do not think I have seen it yet.

I think lizards/snakes is far harder and far less conventional.
I forgot what PT it is in...I think June 2009?

I did the same thing. Holy shit it took forever...rglifberg wrote:That game is such a bitch, I just re-did it after reading this post, I went -0 but it was waaay too time consuming.
I did it twice: once using an In/out template and once using a multi-row grouping template. I found the latter to be way more visual, but that's probably because I had already made some inferences when using the In/Out template.
This game sucks hard. I will be ever so pissed if I see this on test day.
