The Week Before

Hello all,
I have been searching for an answer about this on the forums, but I haven't found anything yet. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice about what to do or not do the week before. I am retaking and last time I took a new test the week before and did terribly on the RC, even though I had been doing well on it, and I think it really messed with my confidence going into the test. I want to maintain my confidence going into the test, but I don't want to waste the last week. Right now, I am planning on finishing all the new PTs I have left by June 4th and then just review my mistakes and maybe retake some tests or something for that last week. Thoughts?

I would save a couple of the more recent PTs in the 60s for the first half of the last week, spend the 4th-5th days going over your PTs and any weaknesses, and then the last day or two not even thinking about the LSAT. I went to a movie and golfed and stuff.

This.

I haven't taken it yet so I cannot vouch for what I have planned, but I think my last PT will be Friday, maybe Saturday, then I'll finish going over mistakes Saturday night. I already have plans to see a show on Sunday but I still think I will do an LR and RC section that night, though try and be lighthearted about. I also might do some LG's or LR Monday morning, something I am good at and know will build my confidence.

I would not recommend taking anymore than 2 days off, but again I am not talking from experience, just what I think will be best.

I seem to be in the minority in that I'm planning on PTing the day before the test. I probably won't run it like an actual administration, but I'll do all four sections throughout the day.

Whenever I let myself take a break from studying, I always seem to do worse on my next PT or two. So I will be studying at least up until the Friday before, and I'll do some warm up practice the morning of.

Thanks for the advice.
My problem is that I only have 3 newer ones (62, 65, 61) and PTS 13, 14, 15, 16, & 18 that I have never seen before. I'm probably just going to use the early ones for my 5th sections. I'm worried that if I don't do them soon, I will take them the week before and then freak out when they are lower than all of these redos I have been taking (Which they obviously will be. I'm actively lying to myself that a 175 on a redo= a 175). I still have some of my later redos left (63, 64, & 59) and I haven't looked at them since October. Any advice for which I should do now and which I should save for the week before? I know I'm probably over thinking this.

If that's stressing you out, do something middle of the road. Take one recent PT now, save the other two for pre-test day.

I'm not sure if I would do that. I did that last time, and its added stress. Plus, you don't really have enough time to go over your mistakes and rectify them in one night, so you might as well just avoid stress, or go over your mistakes.

^Probably solid advice. Thanks.

I actually feel the opposite. Whenever I haven't done a PT for a day I stress out, whereas PTing gets me in the zone. It's my favorite method of prep. I don't really review my missed ones anyway, so losing the opportunity to do that doesn't worry me.
