Realistically, how much could I improve my score by Oct

So, here is my story. I took the Oct LSAT in 2011 and ended up with a 162. I studied hardcore that summer and raised it from a 150. My PTs were around 162-165. The problem is reading comp. Without fail, I always get from 7-10 wrong on RC. A couple of times I got four wrong but those were exceptions. So I applied for this cycle and got into some good T1 law schools with some $$ but since being on TLS, I've been getting into that retake mentality. So do you think its worth sitting out this cycle and retaking? Ideally, I want to score 168-170 but I don't know how realistic that is.

retake is tcr and you could totally get to a 170+ by Oct

Keep drilling/taking tests. Focus on why you're getting problems wrong and correct it. Make sure you understand the each part of the problems. Premise, conclusion, assumption, why the incorrect choices are incorrect, why the correct choice is correct, etc.

Good luck!

Do you have any tips on Reading Comprehension? As I understand, it's hard to improve that score.

Try covering up the answers in your practice and trying to figure out what you think the correct answer should say, then look at the answers and see if any of the answer choices match the answer you came up with. I struggled with RC too, and this helped me out.

I'd recommend picking up Manhattan's RC Guide. I found it to be helpful.

Pick up some political reading that you DO NOT agree with. It will help you get better at picking out author opinions and bias. Also, read some dense/scholarly articles.
