This question has been asked time and time again. The answer is: It depends on the school. Majority of them will take the highest score and a few of them will take the average.

If you got a 175 on your first test and then got a 150 on the second test, then I think it would raise some eyebrows.
However, I still believe that your 175 will be all that matters in most cases.

If you want a more specific answer, then ask about specific schools. You can also find this information on most of the law school's websites under admission requirements.

HTH.

I've got a good score from the February test, and I'm leaning towards retaking in June or later, but I'm not 100% confident I will do better seeing as I don't even know what hurt me on the first attempt, it being undisclosed and all.

What was your score? If under 170, retake.

Second test would be free through LSAC's waiver, though.
Take it dude. Don't throw a free retake away. A few more points is a HUGE difference.

Chances are they will just ask for an addendum explaining why the huge drop... and if you have a valid reason it's probably fine. It's kind of hard to get a "fluke" score on the test... unless you have a valid reason like you were super sick, someone died, etc... I would expect them to be fairly similar.

Just wish I knew where I lost those 10 points...
I really don't know why people take February if they're applying for the next year. June and Oct are both sufficient for early applications.
Should have waited until June and scored 180.

Law school hasn't been a life long dream for me or anything remotely close. First job out of college is entry level staff at a MidLaw firm in Denver. One day, lightbulb went off that maybe this is something I could look into. Literally signed up for the February LSAT on the last possible day, bought a handful of practice tests, and knocked out a 170 - the research, TLS, and thoughts on where I want to go to school were all secondary.
Well, do you have any target schools? You first need to look at what schools you'd be interested in attending. Whats your GPA? Second, retake the LSAT in June and get a 175+. You obviously have it in you.
