PT's 39-50 and kaplan mastery

Where do PT's 39-50 come from besides just buying them individually from LSAC?

I have "10 Actual", "the next 10", "10 more" and "10 new" as well as PT's up to 65 however PT's 39-50 are not there.

I am following Pithypikes guide so do I need them, or can I just sub them because newer tests have come out since that thread was initially posted?

Also how are you guys incorporating the Kaplan Mastery book into your plan?

Anyone know where we can get these tests for cheaper? i.e. not $70/book?

How are these so expensive but the 10 actual books are so cheap?

I think the Kaplan Mastery book was primarily used to seperate the questions by type. You can now get them through cambridge. OR, you can check the LR spreadsheet on LSAT Blog which tells you which questions are where and reference them from there.

May I ask, did June not go so well? I know you were studying for June, as was I, and I've decided to take October instead.

The same place where you can get everything 'cheaper'.

That really doesn't help me out much. You mean illegally via the internet?

PTs 39-50 were available from Cambridge a year ago. Since then they have vanished. I don't know why. But you might try buying individual used PTs of the 40s. I saw some PT 45 used copies for sale on Amazon for very little just now.

Why buy a whole book for $77 when you could buy this one exam for $90?! :P

They're hard to find/expensive because the LSAC is mean and doesn't print them anymore. You can get them all in PDF form for $8 each, but it's pricey.

I have a bunch in this range at home, unused in hardcopy. I'd be willing to sell them for cheaper. PM me if you're interested and I'll take inventory/assess pricing.

Individually they're cheaper. There is no good reason to pay for this. Unless it comes with stickers.

Haha I just googled "lsat prep tests 39-50" because I ran into the same problem and this thread popped up. It seems every lsat prep company up charges any book containing these test numbers. What a joke since you can buy 51-65 for 35 bucks!

Now Amazon is selling a used but "like new" copy of PT 42 for $900.

I would offer to sell my used but "like new" copy for the same, but I'm too business savvy. I'm going to wait until PT 42 is going for $9,000.

Sign up for a test prep course that provides PDFs of all the tests as part of the registration fee. I don't know if you were going to take a course or not, but if you are, I wouldn't waste your money buying books when you can get them from your testprep company.

ETA: And certainly, for $900 you can get a course and ALL of the preptests (including the hard-to-find PT 42).
