Re: February 2012 Waiting Thread
I have somewhat of a silly question to ask, but when someone says they think the LSAT will have a -11 curve, what does that mean?

Re: February 2012 Waiting Thread
-11 translates to a 170, the curve is an estimation of what translates to a 170

But what does it mean when a test has a -11 curve?

If you get 11 questions wrong your score would be a 170

Oooooo ok gotchya, so a -7 curve would mean the test was too easy and a -15 would mean it was too hard.

This seems to be the latest idea spreading across the forum so I think it might have affected the way people voted. Some may have voted one or two higher than they would have normally thinking (maybe subconciously) that if the poll ends up with a high number then the real number will be one higher.. I think the real curve will be -11.

The other way around. -7 = hard, -15 = easy

So what's everyone's plan once they see their score?
For me it's like this:
1) If I get the score I want or above, I will first scream, go crazy, call my mom, run around my apartment and tell all my friends that I have a future, drink some alcohol, and then either retake just for the LOLz in an attempt to get an even higher score or simply just find a job and work.
2) If I get below the score I want, I will cry, cry more, call my mom and cry, cry to my friends, contemplate what I'm doing to do with my life, retake because I have no choice, and then cry more.

Basically this. Except both of my scenarios involve more alcohol.

Copiously more amounts of alcohol. And more screaming. Or potentially more crying...

Re: February 2012 Waiting Thread
One week from today my prediction on when the scores are coming out will be affirmed!
When I get my score there will be 1 of two responses... either immediately start firing off my app updates with my new score, or start trying to forget I retook the test (there will most likely be a few drinks involved either way as well).

I think I may employ my tutors approach and just get absolutely hammered when the links go grey so you don't even remember seeing your score until the day after.

Yes I concur. Many libations will be in order, with debaucherous acts to ensue, all in the name of forgetting (or celebrating) what happened feb 11 2012.

Re: February 2012 Waiting Thread
I was wondering if anyone was in the same boat as me on Thursday. I received a letter from lsac in the mail, and my heart skipped. For some reason, I thought lsac was really on the ball this time around, and sent out scores super early. But, it was only a status update of my account
To top it off, they're still super slow with updating my lor.

On a side note.... Law school nightmare last night... in my dream got scholarship information from GULC that asked for my military history... i didn't get an acceptance letter and was confused as to why I only got a scholarship info packet but no acceptance letter....
The scholarship offer made me wonder if they made a mistake as I am not a vet, and therefore did not get into GULC... I woke up not knowing if I got in......
this entire process is affecting my subconscious now...... FML
I had an LSAT nightmare... I was in the LSAT test room, feeling bad and like I just woke up with no sleep and never practiced the LSAT at all, and the proctor was saying, " the LSAT begins in 3...2...1... GO" and I was so lost but all I knew that it was my retake and the last time I will ever be able to take it and the last time I took it (which is this one we're all waiting for) I got a 140. I went through the first section in complete panic picking random letters because I couldn't even read the prompts right (it was LR)... I woke up and it took me 5 minutes to realize it was all a dream.. was so happy.

Whore mouth it may be, I have no doubt it's Friday. Why? Because Spring Break starts on Friday, and LSAC would love nothing more than to ruin Spring Break with LSAT scores.
