Dont fuck up the PS. Sell yourself and keep it short and to the point... Aka 500 words max.

Give the adcomm reasons to accept you:
Good teammate
Qual- quant skills
Leadership
Adaptable
Hardworking
Diligent... Ad infinitum

A good PS will make the 170 shine like gold! Not bland like copper.

Got ya. Maybe when I polish the PS, I can send it to you and have you critique?

Well I disagree there. At a certain level, I think it's just about not fucking up anything else. You can have a totally bland PS and average LOC's, but if you have a 3.99 174 you're getting into Harvard. So maybe it's about the PS to the extent that it is one of the few things that will be able to hold you back, but it's not like you really need to do anything special with it. Your numbers will speak for themselves. Just look competent in your PS and you'll be good. I think the PS is more important for the borderline people.

We can always retake the LSAT.. 3 more months till June.. some intense study could give us extra 2 or 3 points, at least that's how I feel since I never studied my mistakes, only taking the tests over and over.

Yeah I'm just praying for the 173+. I think that's the line I'll draw for a retake, and I might even retake the 173. I hit 179 on 3 practice tests, so it's definitely within my ability to get a really high score. But a few of my last PT's were like 171-172 so I wouldn't be shocked if I find myself retaking.

Man I would kill to be in your position. I didn't really study my mistakes.. I sort of went through study books quickly and just took tests over and over hoping it'll all click. So when I took the actual test, I think it finally clicked for the games and my fear of em went away but I definitely think if I sit down and look at each section strategically and do one section over and over , then the next, and then the final one with review of all, I feel like I'll break through the 170s.. I was getting 167/168 and I still was having that Just-finish-the-section-for-the-sake-of-finishing feeling.. If I start strategizing.. man I guess I'm def retaking.

I mean it took a shit ton of work. 3 months and probably a few hundred hours of studying. I did every game published and probably almost every RC and LR too. I felt less than totally confident after the test, I think I'll hit the lower end of my PT range, probably in the 172-174 range, and if I'm not in that I'd probably bet the under. I'd be pleasantly surprised with a 175, but surprised nonetheless.

I hope you get it! You seem like a cool guy. And agree that reviewing helps since during the test, the last LR section, it seemed to click and I had this LSAT intuition where for every problem I saw the right answer like 5+5=10. I felt like I could cross off the wrong answers easily. That was from just doing problems over and over.

But I hope you get your wanted score and I hope this one isn't too low for me to make my June retake worthless after it's averaged with this one.

So what about ED? Does ED require you to go to that school? I never fully understood it.

Yeah it means that if you go to law school the year you apply, you have to go to the school that you ED'd to (if they accept you). It can really help though, especially at UVa if you look at it. Some schools will give you full scholarship they accept you ED (Northwestern, BU, GW).

Even if it was true, I don't see why it would delay our scores being released?
Again, it's non-disclosed, so if we assume that this story is true, and we assume that the people taking the alleged May 10th test will get the same test we took, I see no reason why our scores should be delayed because they are retaking it; it's not as if we would get back the test (in which case we could give them all the questions and the answer sheet). Us knowing just our scores would give them no advantage whatsoever.

Also, I am inclined to believe the person who posted about it was a troll.

So they were lost before and "a shipment is lost once a year." Hmm so it's not too crazy to think that it could have happened..

I wonder if any law suits ever came of it.
