Re: February 2012 Waiting Thread
Just a little informal poll to help pass the time:
- What is your estimated range for your score?
- Have you taken the LSAT before? What did you get?
- Where are you waiting on/planning on applying to? Also, where have you been denied admission, if applicable?

1) I wouldn't be surprised with anything 170-175ratner wrote:Just a little informal poll to help pass the time:

2) first time taker, applying next cycle (currently a junior in UG). Although if I don't do great, I'll definitely be retaking in June (I pray that I don't have to)
3) Depends on what I get on my LSAT haha. A score at the top of my range should make me T6 (and probably almost HYS) secure, but I'll probably blanket the T-14 (minus G-Town and probably NW), then hit BU/BC (home market) and look for big schollies.

2. December 2010- 157
December 2011 - 160
3. A wholeeee bunch of schools. Main reason for the 3rd test was to get off the W&L waitlist though. Denied recently at Tulane, UGA, Wake so far. May e-mail them if I get 163+ to reconsider.

2. Got a 164 in Oct.
3. Blanketing T14 and USC/UCLA, probably ED at Penn or
NYU

1) 167-176 was my range for mt pt (i have no idea how I scored but im optimistic and hoping it was low 170's)
2) I studied one month before I wrote it the first time and I got a 163 (diagnostic at 150). studied another month before this and the majority of my pt's were above 170
3) Canadian schools.

-PT were 170+
-165 Oct. 2011
-Accepted at George Mason and CU Boulder, waitlisted at U of Chicago, and still waiting on about 13 decisions. Hoping to get off the waitlist at Chicago and get accepted at a few of the T-14 where my app is pending. Also hoping for some $$$ as I don't really know how I can afford sticker anywhere...

Re: February 2012 Waiting Thread
I had the same mindset. Just want to say yesterday was an extremely long day at work because of this, lol. I should've read the extremely prominent sticky post on this board.bernaldiaz wrote:Yeah at first I was saying not to talk about it but it got pretty rampant in this thread I stopped caring and just joined in I figured the mods would have caught it a week ago if they were going to enforce it. Oh well, learned my lesson.
Anyway, waiting gets old. Before my score arrives, I'm operating with the assumption that I scored a 180.

Re: February 2012 Waiting Thread
Hopefully 172-175 but as long as I get 170 or above I'll be happy.ratner wrote:Just a little informal poll to help pass the time:

Took it in October and got a 168.
I'm applying next cycle, hoping to get $$ at T-14, also looking USC/UCLA/BU/BC.

I have an uneasy feeling that since our test is undisclosed a lot of us are going to hit the upper end of our ranges or a lot of us are going to hit the lower end of our ranges.

2) First time taking the test (junior in UG)
3) BU/BC/USC/UCLA if I'm in the lower area of my range, Cornell/GT/Michigan if I'm in the upper area of my region.
Also, best of luck to everyone on their scores!

With the exception of "applying next cycle", everything you said applies to me exactly. Hopefully this will get me off the Michigan waitlist!beebela wrote:Hopefully 172-175 but as long as I get 170 or above I'll be happy.ratner wrote:Just a little informal poll to help pass the time:

do you think we will be able to estimate the curve after we get our scores based on our actual marks vs predicted?

Estimations certainly but with what measure of accuracy is the question. Ultimately that's a question we'd never be capable of answering.ampersand5 wrote:do you think we will be able to estimate the curve after we get our scores based on our actual marks vs predicted?

I'm having a difficult time going to my happy place when Paul George got robbed in the NBA dunk contest! Evans only had one good dunk!

Yeah any evidence would be highly circumstantial. The strongest evidence we would have would be "I thought I did bad but got a 178 lolz must have been a huge curve" or "damnzz I killed that it I ended up with a 165 must have been a -6 curve". Not exactly scientific or particularly strong proof.anteater1 wrote:Estimations certainly but with what measure of accuracy is the question. Strongest evidence: test taker passes out with 14 questions left on section five and gets a 170.bernaldiaz wrote:Yeah any evidence would be highly circumstantial. I'm starting to think Monday the 5th.
You would think if this week were the release, this page would be updated by now. http://www.lsac.org/LSACResources/Data/ ... stered.asp
