Prepping with a Family

How in the world do you guys with families do it. My wife was on board and has helped me convert our old TV room into a single purpose office for me to finish UG, and study the LSAT. Now that it is almost complete and she knows I am hitting the LSAT books hard before school starts back up it seems I can't get a solid hour of study time in. We are both FT students so we are both on break right now, and it's just always something. Even when I have the door shut she comes in and has to ask/say/hang SOMETHING on the wall or move the furniture around the room. I am trying to be nice, but it is driving me a little crazy. Once I get some time it is 1-2AM and I can't concentrate while I am reading, and I have to re-read everything no less than twice. I love her, but goodness!!!

Did LSAT prep with 3 kids a wife and a full time job. Usually, I would try to do a section a day. Only actually did one fully timed complete test. I stopped by the library after work or on Saturdays, but probably did most after my kids went to bed. A little bit of a balancing act, and probably not optimal, but I was able to do well enough.

Did LSAT prep with 2 kids/husband/FT job. Lots of weekend afternoons in Starbucks, lots of time at night. Section by section as KMaine said. Get used to it - studying for the LSAT is only a primer for what you'll do in law school.

did my prep with wife and kid while full time school and part time job. had to study mostly in the wee hours of the night when the family was sleeping. usually stayed up til 2/3 am studying every night and woke up with the young one around 6/7am every morning, got ready and off to school. it was hellish.

If you can't manage LSAT prep w your family it's going to be VERY difficult to manage law school studying with a family.

Studied with a family and a full time job. You need to get out of the house. I used to go out on Sunday mornings and Thursday evenings for a full test, and then sections at home.
