There are still 3 years of law school to contend with and a LOT of English. Not to mention the enormous debt load and lost of income you must factor in.

You say you have a federal job. Why not try for graduate school instead? It moves you up the ranks and is a much safer investment in your case.

yes you are right about that, I am already looking for other prospects but I still want to try one last time, reading peoples success stories on here, makes me believe anything is possible if you put the mind to it and the hours of study, eventually you can learn the lsat.

My GPA is 3.4 but my LSAT score sucks major balls. This is my second test my last test was in October 2010.. All i can say is that even though I had 50+ pts at home I ended up doing merely 6 for this test.. I ran out of time and I was pressured from home to apply this fall.

I have just one major question to ask as to I am too ashamed to ask my friends this that should i reconsider another career even though I want to see myself go to law school..

please give me your best opinion Because I know some people on here have also scored 135s in their tests.. any words of wisdom will be inspirational during this time of crisis in my life

thank you

i'm sorry to hear that =(

um... if it's your dream to go to law school, then keep at it. work with friends to better your lsat score. Do more practice tests, make sure you learn from your mistakes, and if you like, you can always send notes to TLS people for explanations about specific questions ^___^ (i can help some times if you want)

don't give up =) I know you can do it!

Study hard for October. Read dense material to get your RC up, and work games. But I would contact a tutor straight away and explain your situation and what you want. Just search for amazing lsat tutors, you'll find something. The best part about many of these tutors is that they will offer you help over the phone or online, so you don't need to fit it into your work schedule. Btw, IF you go to law school can you just take a 3 year leave of absence, or do you have to quit?....you still have one chance at the lsat, so don't get discouraged yet!!

98% on TLS: No one should go to law school unless they score at least a 173 on the LSAT.

98% of people in the real world: If you really want something then go get it. Bust your balls and try your best. At that point make a decision that is best for YOU.

Yes, law school is expensive and hard but in all honesty most everything in life that's worth doing is expensive and hard. With a 135 you may have a shot at some TTTT's or at the Cooley PUP program but those schools will probably offer lackluster job prospects while charging tuition rates comparable with tier 1 schools.

6 PTs is not enough to master this test if you're scoring in the 145-150 range. There is a fundamental disconnect between the LSAT and your ability on the LSAT, it is your job to bridge that gap. Advice on these forums would lead you to believe that you must do shitload of practice tests but if you're scoring below a 150 you need to really understand this test. Find out what type of things RC passages will question you on, learn the nuances of flawed reasoning you see in LR, learn the differences between most strongly supports and must be true, master linear games and grouping games, etc. I strongly recommend taking a prep course from Powerscore or another reputable company. Learn the LSAT first then focus on practice tests.

You being a non-native english speaker puts at a disadvantage on this test from the outset. It is what it is. If you want to go to a top tier or tier 2 you have to overcome that, but you can overcome it if you put in the work. It's been done before and it'll be done again in the future.

Exactly. Taking timed practice tests when you're in that scoring range is a terrible strategy, frequency of fucking terrible advice to the contrary on TLS not withstanding.

I have to agree about not taking timed tests yet. You must understand the questions and what they're asking. I can't even imagine taking the current LR with English as a second language at the moment...this is why international law is difficult, by the way.

You're doing a very difficult thing, and you deserve respect for that. The best advice I can give you is that every word counts in those questions and answers now. If this is what you want to do, you will need to study very hard, but your situation is not impossible, and you shouldn't give up if you really want this.

With a strong GPA you have a good chance to get into at least one T14 with a 168.
