Hey guys,
I just took this practice test and, completely out of the blue, pulled a 179. Usually I average around a 175, so I was surprised.
Because of the score, I am now considering taking the LSAT in February (instead of waiting until June, which was my original plan). Before I consider this though, I want to know if 13 is considered easier than most other tests. When I was taking it I got the sense that it was easier (though the last logic game had the potential to be a little tricky).
Because it is an earlier test, does that mean it is significantly easier than the more recent ones? Again, on more recent ones I average a 175, so getting 179 was completely unexpected.
Thanks,
Helicio

4 points is not that big a variation.

It seems to me that getting a score in the 175-180 range comes down to luck. I feel that on this PT the main thing that happened differently was that on those inevitable questions where it comes down to two, I was lucky enough to guess correctly.
Is that right, or nah?

that's correct IMHO.
and it may not necessarily be due to 'luck' ... possibly just not making 'silly' mistakes?

You know they say that the lower the PT number, the easier the test.
Nah, I actually have no idea. It was to my understanding that you should be guaging your capability with the newer tests rather than the older tests. If you're already at a 175 though, you should just take it.

absolutely. but the older tests still have practice value (not assuming you didn't know this, just saying)

I apparently cannot spell gauging.
