Score Satisfaction Range

Post by UtilityMonster » Thu Dec 08, 2011 2:15 am

As I sit here bored with the current topics on the board and desiring something to talk about, I decided to come up with a really stupid idea for a thread. It is as follows: you have three categories: "pissed," "pleased," & "ecstatic." What is the score range for each that would lead you to feel these emotions?

Mine:

Ecstatic: "172+"
Pleased: "169-171"
Pissed: "168-"

and, just for the hell of it:

Jump from a skyscraper: "164-"
Run down the street fully nude: "175+"

YOUR TURN!

Doesn't seem like there's much leeway room in your score ranges. I don't like telling people what I expect/want to score. If I don't get it I'll feel like a jackass for even saying I'd want that high of a score. If I did manage to get as high as I tell people I expected/wanted I'd feel like a pompous douche.

<162 ... reconsider law school. Probably be happy and raise family & play lots of golf.

162-165.... pour over numbers determine realistic expectations, apply to higher schools anyway, stress, get rejected, reconsider law school, but probably take the plunge because I think I'm a special fucking snowflake.

165-168.. Oh look I took a standardized test and under-performed. Apply anyway with a slight chance of happiness, but probably settle for the best debt/opportunity mix I can find. Probably end up hating life and spending what little money I make on discount strippers after my GF leaves me.

168-170+.. slightly higher chance at happiness. Higher chance of making decent money, but GF will still probably leave me and I will simply spend a higher $ value during my life, which I hate, on strippers of higher quality than the previous circumstance.

Either way, I'll be playing golf... My solace.

:)

Looks like we've got very close to the same expectations

Wow some of you guys would do really bad things for scores i'd kill for...lol.

That said:

<166: Give up on law school. Pursue dreams of living in France. (So it wouldn't exactly be a horrible thing)
166-168: Happy! Take some tequila shots. Apply. See what happens.
169+(never gonna happen): Quit job! Jk. It's so impossible, I can't even imagine what I'd do...

Alright, I'll play.

< 160 -- Enlist
160 - 165 -- Drink a $9.00 bottle of whiskey in the dark while listening to depressing music
166 - 168 -- Happy, yet conflicted...
169 - 170 -- Ecstatic. Shots for all!
171+ -- The world will end.

<160 - Bawl my eyes out until someone comforts me
161-163 - Have a panic attack and hyperventilate
164 - Feel queasy and sick to my stomach with nerves
165-167 - Swear a lot in a rage of frustration
168-169 - Act like I'm happy while I'm really disappointed, kicking myself for choking
170 - Be happy and crack a wry smile, while being a bit nervous that it's not enough to get a scholly
171-173 - Be ecstatic and feel pretty confident that I got the score I needed
174-175 - Swear a lot and yell, as I'm so stoked that I did so well
176-180 - Drop to my knees and bawl my eyes out, as I thank God, until someone comforts me
