Everything is gravy, then I get to the "middle questions" and miss 6 out12 questions..whats going on?

Well they are more difficult, so there's that.

I guess to answer the question we would need to know more about your strategies. How much time are you taking per question; and are you having problems comprehending the stimulus/anticipating an answer or do you get down to two answer choices and then choose the wrong one?

I take approx 1:25 to answer these questions. I usually get down to two answer choices and choose the wrong one.

Find out why each one is wrong. Look for certainty, out of scope, or something slightly different, then eliminate it. There are 4 wrong, not 1 right.

Why are these questions more difficult? The actual question stems themselves are the same so it has to be the complexity of the argument.

Get a notebook and a pencil. Write out the stimulus so you can see how the argument is structured. Then for each answer choice write why it is or isn't correct. You will eventually start to discern a pattern and see why the right answer is 100% correct.

Could you please explain this a bit more. Should I write out the stimulus a certain way, like one sentence per line, or just right it exactly how it is originally written? Or does this not matter at all?

Earlier questions are more obvious b/c of many reasons: simpler premises, lack of trap answers, etc. A lot of times, the correct answer will be the only one of the 5 that makes sense.

My guess is OP is running into scope issues, search for that little modifier or word that makes the answer unequivocally wrong. Any answer in the future that messes up that way is unacceptable, and your suspicion will be warranted.

Splitlife: whatever works for you, the main point is to get why the 1 answer is right, and the 4 others are wrong. I know it comes out fast and easy, but its definitely not. You must know why A is right, you must know why B is wrong, you must know why C is wrong, you must know why D is wrong, you must know why E is wrong. This test is very different than memorization tests, knowing why something is wrong is equally as important as knowing why another thing is right.

excel....im in the same boat man. Just so you don' t feel like your the only one =)
10-15 I usually get the majority of those wrong
