Hand Scoring... Is it worth it if your score won't increase?

Post by icecreamwithlsat » Thu Oct 27, 2011 3:10 am

One of my responses was marked as a "O" on the "LSAT Question Responses" when I obviously bubbled in the right answer (although a bit lightly).... If I have my scantron scored by hand then I think I'll receive credit... although this will not increase my actual LSAT score. I'm also planning on retaking anyways. Is it worth having the LSAT hand scored for the mere satisfaction of knowing that I've added a point to my raw score?

The credited response for this question is "A"

So what the fuck is the point? You have some money that you don't mind donating to LSAC for no actual benefit?

The law and economics movement now dominates American legal thought.

That doesn't bode well for you, bro.

If you really think that is worth the increase to your psychological satisfaction, go for it. I don't think it costs too much.

As far as whether it is "worth it" in a more general way, no.

Yes. Do it. This way you can tell employers at OCI that your raw score put you very close to the next point up.

I really don't understand the attacking of the OP... believe it or not at one time we didn't know much about the LSAT (the TLS community does not equal the 0L community).

To the OP, no there would be no point of it. Law schools only care about derived score, I don't even think they get the raw score.

Best of luck!
