Consensus on Oct 2011 Experimental

Postby 6lehderjets » Fri Oct 07, 2011 1:10 pm

I just went through the first 8 pages of the Oct 2011 thread and it was completely unhelpful.

I had LR,LG,LR,LR,RC is there common agreement as to which section was experimental on this test?

Sorry to be unhelpful, but there is no consensus. It is believed that there were multiple experimental sections for different people. The LSAC produced different versions of the 3 LR test so your experimental could have been any of them, including 4th.

I had the same order as you.

Did u have one lr was was ordered in an uncharastic way that we have been accustomed to when prepping.,

Like, most all the pt i took have the lr section go from easy---to tough. Easy 1-14ish, The difficult 15ish-20ish, and so forth.

I feel like i had one lr section that started off as rough in the first 1-14ish, let up a bit, then got tuff again.

U get that, and what sections was that for you, and ill tell u when i expierenced that

This debate is a total can of worms. I believe there is consensus around how many questions comprised the two scored LR sections: 25 and 26 for each section respectively. The debate concerning which LR was experimental is centered around this 25 and 26 question issue.

As far as I see it there are a few scenarios, any one of which can account for your experimental section. Assuming your test was structured LR (1) - LG - LR (2)- LR (3) - RC, then the following may apply:

Scenario One: LR1: 25, LR2:25, LR3:26 - Chance that the Experimental happened after the first three sections:0

Scenario Two: LR1: 25, LR2:26, LR3:26 - Chance that the Experimental happened after the first three sections: 50/50

Scenario Three: LR1: 25, LR2:26, LR3:25 - Chance that the Experimental happened after the first three sections: 50/50

Scenario Four: LR1: 26, LR2:25, LR3:26 - Chance that the Experimental happened after the first three sections: 50/50

Scenario Five: LR1: 26, LR2:26, LR3:25 - Chance that the Experimental happened after the first three sections: 0
-----------------------------------------------
Honestly, it's been enough time since the test that most folks, absent a written account to help them recall questions, will not remember where certain questions specifically occurred in their test. While it may be easy to discern what questions were scored by asking someone who did not have an experimental LR, I can honestly say that I wouldn't remember which of my three sections they occurred in.

If you are asking because you have concern on whether you should cancel I would urge you to relax and step away from this chatter to make your decision.
