"Recent" photo ID

Post by lawisthelaw » Thu Sep 29, 2011 7:46 pm

Exactly how "recent" does our photo ID have to be? I know that the picture on the admission ticket must be within the last 6 months, but I've had my license for 3 years. The picture would still clearly identify me.

The LSAT ticket checklist says: "recent, not expired."

Make sure the one you glue to your ticket is recent!

The one I glued to my ticket is taken yesterday, but there is no date on it. It doesn't say on the LSAC regulations that there should be a date on it, nor have the passport photos I've taken had that on them. Hope I should be good.

As for the license photo, I don't think it matters when exactly it was taken as long as the ID itself is not expired and a reasonable person would not have to struggle to see the resemblance between your current self and the ID picture. My license photo was taken 4 years ago, but I look exactly the same.

I used a two year old photo. As long as you don't look markedly different it's not a big deal.

This. They're using it for identification purposes; if you look the same, you'll be fine.

The picture on my driver's license was taken when I was 15. I didn't have any problems getting in when I was 23.
