Re: 10 weeks to a 180
I looked through the bike game. This time, I just tested out the hypos that were the most restrictive - for the could be true/can't be true - and I got to the answer pretty quickly. I think it was a good learning experience; there's no need to panic, just write hypos as quickly as possible to get to the right answer - testing the most restrictive ones first.
Recently I've actually been "prephrasing" on LG, haha. If there is a deduction where one thing is precluded, I look for that on a cannot be true; it's surprising how often that works.

With games, I was getting -0's when I was doing a lot of drilling; it's kind of like it kept me sharp. Right now I'm just doing a bit of mental work and getting in the right state of mind for Saturday.
Tomorrow I'm going to really take it easy.

I really can't stress how much taking the day off before I took the October test helped me. I only ended up getting like 3-4 hours of sleep due to nerves, but I was still so relaxed and ready to take the rest that it helped me a lot, just because I hadn't done ANY LSAT prep the day before.

I have been reading this thread for the past few weeks and have to say - you guys are all so impressive - you have given me the drive that I have needed to 'push harder' with my studying - so thank you!
I'm a re-taker from October and wanted to give my 2 cents on the plastic bag:
-I brought Excedrin and stomach medicine - if you get a horrible headache because the room is too hot (true story), you'll be soo happy with the Excedrin. And the extra caffeine boost is a nice treat
-also I read somewhere that people take advil before going to the test so that they don't get a headache - could possibly work
-I had Vitamin Water instead of regular water and I really thought that worked very well to have something sweeter and then refill with regular water on break (if needed)
-finally, I brought a few of the sections to the testing center with me, did them while others were waiting in line and threw them out before going to the room - always an option
Anyways, GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU - based on thread, you will do fantastic

Did a 3 section timed LR drill: the 2nd LR of 63 and the 2 LR's of 64, just in case I have to take three straight LR's on test day.
I'm gonna do some LG's tonight and then be done with my prep.

my worst nightmare...which is why i've been doing the vast majority of my PT's with 3 LRs (some in a row). i'm truly hoping for LG for my exp, but I guess RC wouldn't be too bad again (that's what I had last time). DO YOU HEAR ME LSAC?!?!??!

Re: 10 weeks to a 180
I am, finally, at the point where I don't care. I have created reasons, in my mind, for why I want there to be an LG exp (because it's less cognitively taxing), LR exp (so I can warm up with a free LR before I get to the real ones), and an RC exp (because it's not so taxing).
For the longest time, I'd pray for an LG exp. But I really wanted to prevent against seeing a third LR, or a second RC, and feeling despair - during the test. I made it so I don't really care which one I get.
After a bunch of practice and countless sections, I can say that I no longer dread any section. Each one is just a different task with different requirements; I feel equally adept in all 3.
I feel like I'm peaking

Did some LG. I think I'm going to go over some old questions tomorrow morning, before my last meeting with my tutor, and then stop after that. I think I'll go to a movie and come home to relax. I just need to make my Saturday morning exercise and I'm good to go.
Hope everyone is well.
I think I'll be signing off tomorrow morning, until after the test.

Got a 170 on an LSAT yesterday. Took Dec 2009. Reading Comp rocked me . I'm done at this point. I've had PT's between 170 and 177 in the last 2 weeks. I can do it. We all can get AT LEAST 170 Saturday. Good run folks.

Good luck 180 and others, you guys have been one of the most motivated and dedicated groups of students I've seen on the LSAT forums in a long time.
On test day, your attitude should be that it is just another LSAT and Just Another Day because that is what it is.
I blasted this song over and over the whole morning of and drive to the test center as well as before every LS final I took and before many other tests.

Thanks Jeffort! You rock. Lovin' this song, and really appreciate your advice and perspective. Just finished reviewing my LR mistakes from my last PT on Wednesday. Now gonna go watch a movie and have a small glass of wine to help me sleep tonight, then sleeping in tomorrow! Already grabbed Oct 08 and tabbed LR and LG games I want to do Saturday morning. Good luck everyone! I will be avoiding this board until Saturday night and then drunk posting likely
To 180, calex, chester, chitown, and all the others who have been posting with me almost daily- GOOD LUCK! Break a leg. Stick with your habits and do not deviate. Deep breaths, and keep those pencils and mind sharp. Thinking 170+ thoughts to all you guys (especially since I won't be applying in any of your cylces )

Okay, I think I am done - on this thread - until tomorrow, after the test.
I just want to thank each and every one of you, from the bottom of my heart, for all of your help, advice, and encouragement; I wouldn't be the test taker that I am without all of your help.
I am going to go out and prove, to the law schools of this country, what kind of person I am; I am going to prove that my legal aptitude is, as such, high enough to warrant admission into any school in the country - and that I am worthy of a generous scholarship from many of the top schools. Tomorrow is my opportunity and I am going to make the most of it.
I wish the same for all of you.

Just going through some last minute review (no PTs, just watching videos on Velocity on LR, particularly on the logical fallacies on the test). I'll be ending early, and then probably playing some Assassins Creed: Revelations (finally!) for a bit before going to bed early. Good luck to everyone tomorrow.

Re: 10 weeks to a 180
I have decided to go ahead and take the test. I didn´t drink any coffee yesterday and only had a very small amount this morning, and yes I did encounter a ridiculous RC. The worst-case scenario of getting a 160 or cancelling the score may turn out to be a good thing. I´ll either do a few more months of concentrated and more focused prep with the experience of an actual LSAT, or I´ll reevaluate my ambition to be a lawyer and perhaps come across something else that better suits me. I'll apply to my target schools no matter what score I get, hopefully my softs and GPA will get me a spot. In any case, we shall see.
I feel like I have kind of lost the plot over the past several weeks. I have been concentrating solely on tests without a proper amount of drilling and theory. That kind of went against my whole philosophy going into this prep. At this point, I have kind of resigned to the fact that I´ll retake in June or October. I really do enjoy this test, and if only I could improve on a few things, I think a 175+ is a sure thing on my retake. Of course I have the potential to score a 175 right now, but these past few scores have devastated me and my confidence is so minimal right now that it'll be hard working through it.
I really appreciate all of the insight that people have given us, and I hope that our discussions have helped out some of the lurkers. Cheers 180, cali, and all of the others that have been active on the thread.
I wish everyone luck on the test tomorrow.

Re: 10 weeks to a 180
Alex, I told myself I wouldn't come on here - the day before - in case people became nervous, in fears it could rub off on me. However, we've all been at this too hard, together, to allow one of us to fall apart.
You are merely defeating yourself, at this point. You have proven, time and time again, that you can do abundantly well on Saturday; you have proven that you have all of the necessary skills to score in the 99th percentile. In no way does your performance in the last couple days reflect your overall ability. It is clear as day that you were burnt out; all that matters is putting it outside of your mind, relaxing, and just breathing. I know it's impossible to ignore something - you need to put your focus on something else. Go to a movie, play some video games - do something to take your mind off of it.
If you go in with a poor attitude, tomorrow, you will receive a score that will not make you happy. You need to keep things in perspective and realize that you are powerful beyond all measure; you can do this.
Don't allow yourself to defeat you; you haven't allowed the test writers to beat you, so why are you going to allow your fear and anxiety to overtake you? Stand up to it and realize who you are. We all see it, you just need to - too.
Your 17x is waiting for you, so come on; go out and get it.
