Should I still take the Oct?

Post by glucose101 » Tue Sep 20, 2011 4:08 pm

I was getting scores in the 165-172 range with PTs in the 40s, and now in the 50s I'm getting in the very low 160s. I'm aiming for a 170. Should I just take in Dec?

I was planning on applying early, but there's no point if I'm not gonna score high enough regardless. Right?

My LG score has always been near perfect. RC has always been my downfall (-8). LR used to be decent -4 /section, but now it's more like -6/-7 per section. I know...

You still have a month. Pause with the practice tests, grab the Powerscore Bibles, and work on the sections you need to work on. Then resume practice tests. Do the 3 or 4 most recent ones, and see how you feel.

If October is your first time taking it, I'd say go for it, rather than risk not getting the score you want in December and having to go for February test or delay your whole cycle.

I would say take a PT from the 60's to get a better feel of how you will score. They are a little different, at least to me, then tests from the 40's and 50's

Ya, I'm gonna take in Dec. Not there yet to feel comfortable enough.

ITT: TLS user asks for advice, but really just seeks validation of what user already wants to do. Does not receive, follows original plan anyway.

Partly true. I've just thought about this a lot, and I realized I'm REALLY not at that point. I guess I had to post it for me to realize it.
