Testing Center - Let's Talk!

Does anyone know if seating is generally first come first serve? Visited my test center and WOW it's not great, so I want to know if I can go earlier to grab a seat that doesn't end up taking my score from down 2-3 points.

Also, in general, any tips about test centers? How to maximize chances of getting a good center? Saving a seat? Where to before you actually walk into class?

When I went it really didn't matter if you got there early because they made you leave and re-enter the room once the process (checking ID's and what not) began. Then they laid out numbers at each spot and you were given a number and went to the corresponding seat. But I cannot be sure how 'representative' this is of EVERY center... just my two cents.

Great piece of information...I'm SURE they have a standard process that is at the VERY LEAST close to or identical to what you said. Which essentially means, I'm unlikely to get the seat I want :(

Oh well...

Seats are assigned by the proctors during the check-in process. If you don't like the seat you are assigned, before reading of the instructions and test begin you can politely ask a proctor to be re-assigned a different seat but it is up to their discretion.

To get a good test center that you want you have to register really early before it fills up, so changing your test center for the October test is certainly out of the question.
