TestTimer jury-rigged analog wrist(watch?) timer

EDIT: Both "custom" analog watches (that includes the "TestTimer" and the "180watch") are officially permitted by LSAC.

Looking for a convenient (and permissible) way to time myself on the day-of. LSAC's policies officially state "[no] timers of any kind except analog wristwatches."
But some clever LSAT-taker decided to buy a regular wristwatch, take it apart, set up a new 35-minute faceplate, and put it all back together. She used it on her test and is now selling these as a side-business. These are basically hacked wristwatches. Would they be allowed?

They're allowed. Users on this forum have used them on test day.

About this watch: there are people who used them on the test day and I don't know anyone who had any problems with them. Frankly, no one is really checking what type of watch you have in 99% of the test centers. However, the LSAC rules do not allow electronic watches and
any sorts of timers. So if somehow you'll be caught with those watches you wouldn't have a strong case in defense.

i can't believe people take any of these products seriously. why don't you just use a basic analog watch, set it to 12:00 at the beginning of every section, and know the section will be over at 12:35?
you can get a basic casio analog watch for $10:

and the 180 watch: is there really anyone out there in the entire world that's capable of getting a 180 on the lsat but only with that ridiculous watch?

I used the lsat watch when I took the LSAT (twice). The second time one of the proctors noticed it and just commented on how cool it was that I had a watch specifically for the LSAT. My testing center wasn't one of the crazy strict ones but no one said anything besides that one guy.

Alright everyone, got the final word on the 180watch from LSAC.
The 180watch is permitted.
It got a little tedious as I had to fax them pictures and some other info but I got the final OK.
