So as far as bringing stuff test day, I wanna check that I have everything in order.

I took PT 59 today (which was the December administration I took and canceled).

I was rushed on RC and slightly on the LRs. Had two misbubbles on the second LR. I felt good about LG.

I don't have the scale for this one so if someone wouldn't mind, what is a -11 for this test?

I checked out my test center today. I think the room is pretty good and there's enough lighting. I am planning on leaving early on Saturday, especially because we are expected to get ice and snow the night before and all into Saturday. I think I'd like to have 30 minutes to sit and warm up on some material before I get into the line to register.

That link says -14 was a 170 for PT59, so you did really well then!

EDIT: I was able to find the full scale for you, and -11 is a 172. Congrats!
Thanks so much and congrats on your test, too! :D

We're almost there, guys.

Another thing: Does anybody else go through periods where they're thinking "I can totally do this! LSAT, hooray!" and "Oh my god oh my god I'm so nervous!" I don't know anyone else who is taking this test besides the people here, so I wanted to ask.

I'm hoping I don't feel super nervous before I go in for the test. Any tips for dealing with this type of anxiety?
Yeah, I get those same feelings. Being back home has really helped me relax, but at the same time I still feel like anything could go wrong on Saturday and then it's all down the drain.

I'm trying visualization and practicing staying calm but I could really use some anxiety tips myself!

Well guys, I've barely been able to study at all because I've been so busy with work and school since I decided to retake a month ago. Just the other day I took a practice test and scored a 166. I went over it, did some practice sections, did some more practice games. Then today I take PT 61.

PT61
RC: -2
LR - 4 (2 stupid mistakes, definitely should have gotten like a -2)
LG: -1
LR: -2

-9 total for a 172.

I've never broken into the 170's before. I honestly feel like I should have gotten a 174 to tell you the truth. Was PT 61 just easier to everyone? At least in the games section? I felt the LG section was ridiculously easy as my only miss was a stupid mistake in #4. I usually always run out of time and finish with like a -5 or so.

Anyway, after taking this test, part of me doesn't want to take another practice test now considering I was going to take another one. I figure I'll just drill games some more and maybe take a random LR section or two. I should ride high with this confidence, right? I'm still in shock how easy the games were and hope for something similar in the upcoming test.

Home stretch...getting kind of nervous, not gonna lie!

What is everybody doing with the time left to prep for Saturday?

I've been drilling LG but I'm trying to take it easy so I don't burn out...but I still really want to take a PT :(

Resist the urge. Just keep sharp.

Also, maybe get some exercise, meditate, do what you can to prevent test day anxiety. Start getting to bed a little earlier to be prepped for test day. Figure out your food/plastic bag, all that good stuff ahead of time.

My plan right now is similar. I'll drill several games and maybe one or two sections of LR and RC, but I probably won't do them timed and I may not even bother to check the answers, the point is just to stay sharp and to recuperate.

Thanks for the advice. I am actually going to the gym tonight so I will feel refreshed. I drilled lots of games yesterday from cambridge. I'm doing the easy ones in 4-5 minutes, hope I can keep consistent with time and accuracy on Saturday.

I really want to ace the LG and remain consistent with LR. RC is a crapshoot for me, really.

This is it!

A watch wearing a watch?

Not digital. Any type of wound watch should be fine.

Evening mates,

So the logic games on PT 62 shit on me. I know the test is on Saturday and many people advocate taking it easy the few days before, but I feel like I should take another PT in order to re-gauge where I am to (hopefully) make sure I'm not really unprepared for LG....

Anyone feel like I should take one or should I take it easy..?

Thanks. Do you think it matters if I wear a leather band, or does it need to be metal?
It can be either leather or metal--just not digital or audible.

Drill LG. LG for 62 was shitty anyway. Pardon my French, but fuck the stained glass game.

I wouldn't do another PT but maybe some LGs by themselves.

Take it easy. PT 62 is, in my opinion, perhaps the toughest PT out there. Between the October sitting and now my PT average was 176 and I ended up with a 167 on that PT when I took it on Monday coming off of a 178 and a 177 before it.

Just forget that PT. The rest of your PT work is an accurate gauge of your readiness. Taking another PT now is not going to help unless you know you can take it and score very very well (and thereby relieve some of the stress caused by PT 62 and reestablish your confidence).

Just take it as a strong wake up call to not get complacent, to always work quickly and effectively and to attack the test.

Does anyone have any last minute tips for RC? I've improved my timing on LG and LR with drilling even though I'm still not completely completing the sections, normally having one or two questions left. But I'm still barely making it to the last passage on RC and thus usually not having time to answer 5-8 questions which is not going to make for the greatest score on Saturday? I know this questions probably been asked alot but I was just wondering if anyone had any last minute tips that helped them get over this kind of hurtle in RC. Thanks. Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

If anyone wants to trade Cambridge LR packets, PM me. I have most of them but I'm missing about 6. So if you have the 6 or can get them, I can give you the rest. I took the LSAT already but I want to use them for tutoring.

I got my world rocked by PT 62 on the real thing. Sad day. Typical. I would pick what many argue is the hardest PT as my first sitting of the LSAT. I'd have to agree though. The LG (effin windows) and RC are brutal, and the LR aren't easy either. Hopefully I'm improved more from my young and naive days :-p

Thanks! Yeah, I guess I'll drill with a few more sets of LG and hope that I rock those.

I agree--fuck the stained glass game. That thing rocked my shit.

Anyway, good luck to everyone on Saturday! Hoping we all score our highest PT or higher! ;-)

Oops. One more question:

What do you guys think is a sufficient amount of "warm-up" questions to do in the morning? I was thinking about doing a RC passage, one LG, and 5 or so LR.

Too much?

Good Luck for Saturday everyone. I am sure you all will do great. Make sure to stay calm and sleep as much as possible (not so much that you miss the test, of course).

Also, remember to eat well so as to not upset your tummy during the test. Remember to drink your orange juice/ vitamin C, especially if you are in colleges where people are prone to get sick at this time.

All in all, get your pencils, erasers, and pictures ready for the test early so you are not stressed about it in the morning of the test.

That is about how much I plan to do. I don't think I will do RC warm up though.
Some wise posters of this thread will also tell you not to check the answers after your warm up since getting something wrong can get you nervous.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
