LSAT studying enjoyable?

Postby danteamante » Tue Jul 26, 2011 2:53 pm

Am I the only one that finds studying for the LSAT enjoyable? Especially the reading comp?
Does this make me weird? Super-nerdy?

LOL no. I actually enjoy practicing the Logic Games. Can't say the same for Reading Comp, though :)

I liked doing the games, even though they were my worst section (at first). I was thrilled when my real test had LG for the experimental section, because it kept me entertained and more engaged.

I enjoy LR but how you can enjoy reading comp is beyond me. RC just drains me. I'm good at it but it pisses me off more than not.

I'd go with satisfying.

This satisfaction depends on the fact that I continue to improve. Slogging through the LSAT without seeing results, or even slipping back, is torment.

You had me until "especially the Reading Comp." Aaaanything but that.

I think it's also nice to see myself making so much progress. Not too long ago it was my goal just to break the 160 mark. Now I'm pushing the 170 boundary. It's quite thrilling.

Full PTs are fun. This far in, drilling has lost some of its appeal

LG were fun because well... they were games.
LR was also fun as a set of mini-challenges. I thought of them as a series of mini-games, and tried to come as close to a perfect score as possible.
RC on the other hand... took plenty of creative effort to find enjoyable.

I've always loved taking tests for fun, and the LSAT did not disappoint. Maybe my favorite.

I like to think it reinforces the fact that you're meant for law school.

It is super nerdy though. Don't tell the general public. When I told people that I was missing my sorority formal to study and I didn't actually mind holing up with my books, they called an intervention. It was funny. :)

Woo-hoo for reading comp! (I guess I'm in the minority here...)

I really enjoy the reading comp, it was the same way with the SAT. It really helps in staying focused. I find the paragraphs really interesting and I always learn some random thing after taking a preptest/doing prep homework.

Wish I could say the same for LG.

I really liked doing the games, I thought they were very fun. Now, as for Reading Comp, that's for the birds.
