I tried searching for this with no luck. I am giving myself a year to prepare to slay this test and I would like to review long-term prep plans that have worked for others. Can someone recommend a year-long approach to the LSAT? Or is it ridiculous to take that much time to prep?

Why are you planning upfront to prep one year for it? If you study properly with a reasonable amount of available prep time, most people can and do hit their peak potential score in far less than one year. There are many drawbacks to dragging prep out for a year, including burnout and running out of fresh materials because you used up all the available tests.

Do you have a special limiting circumstance that makes it so you have to spread it out over a year or are you just trying to make sure you give it everything you can to score really high?

I want to give myself plenty of time to grasp the various concepts and put in the work to gain admission to my desired school(Berkeley). I really want to conquer this test and I'm starting from square one. I went through a series of logic games and surprisingly set up all of my charts exactly as they should have been, but I can't tell you why I did it... My answers were correct, but they took a looooong time. Also, I'm still in UG so I must remain mindful of my coursework.

I figured I could take it slow and try to get a real understanding before I get into timed PT's and a prep course.
