Should I cancel?
I'm contemplating canceling.
On the LG section had to guess on 4 due to time. I have never had to guess when taking PT's and have averaged just about 170
with those for guesses I figure I will miss 3 more than usual and be brought down to around a 167
All the other sections I felt went well (even RC)
What are the ramifications of canceling a score?
Would I be better off not canceling and taking it in October or canceling and taking it again in October?

Re: Should I cancel?
I'd keep the 167 (95%) and retake if needed. That's not worth canceling over IMO.

If I were to cancel
hypothetically assuming I can work my score up to a 172 over the summer
would a cancel + 172 compared to a 167 + 172 warrant canceling?

Re: Should I cancel?
Several of the schools in the 172 range claim to average, so a cancel would look better than a 167. If you're confident that there's is not a chance in hell that you'll do WORSE next time, cancel. If you might do worse next time, keep it. Either way, study as hard as you can in the interim - don't rely on your PTs until now.marcsman399 wrote:If I were to cancel

i canceled my initial LSAT due to a very similar reason. i then missed my next scheduled LSAT due to illness. so, by the time i finally sat for what would be my final LSAT, i had both a cancel and an absent on my record - and yet, my subsequent cycle was not at all negatively affected.
if you truly feel you did not perform to the best of your ability (ie, running out of time and guessing when you never had to during PTs), then canceling and retaking is the way to go, IMO.

Re: Should I cancel?
Just wondering, but where would I be able to find what schools average and what schools take the higher score?

Probably will have to check each school individually. There are some aggregate lists, but they can often be inaccurate or outdated.
