OH MY GOD.

The reading comp was an absolute fucking nightmare. It's my strongest section, and I found myself spending 10 minute on the 1st, 10 on the 2nd, and just skim/freestyling the last 2 in a dazed panic. Usually get -4 on the modern RC...honest to god could very well have gotten -12.

Please for the love of god make me feel better, Im so sad. Especially bc LG, my weakest section, was comparatively easy to the point where I was certain I had misinterpreted the rules.

I had two and the first was experimental... pretty sure I killed that one, oh well. Second one I really didn't find that hard, I was uncertain about maybe 4-5 of them but had plenty of time after to look over them and figured out a couple for sure. Totally remembered which part of the passage grains were in and Chopin was mildly confusing but not awful. Totally not cool having the experimental section first when my brain is all fresh.

I have to concur with everyone who's saying RC was pretty difficult. I usually finish RCs with time to spare and have never received more than -4 on any PT (Noguchi ugh) but I only had about 5 minutes to finish the last comparative reading passage this time b/c the first three took too long.

Agreed, RC was terrible, especially having it last.

Chopin was just classic RC. My worst section and i actually finishes which probably means i got nervous sped up and bombed 10. Dont even get me started on green balls, they should have put blue balls in instead

Agreed. It was demoralizing to have that brutal section at the end of the test. Ugh.

Why couldn't it just have been LR?

yup... brutal RC. Normally -4 on RC sections. Looking at a -10 to -12 here. There goes my 168 :( Goodbye June and hello October.

My biggest problem was that I forgot to reset my watch between break, and when I got to RC, I had NO IDEA how much time I had left. So I got through 3 sections and kept expecting to hear "5 minutes left" so I skimmed the last one...then as soon as I bubbled in the last question I heard him give that warning, so I went back and re-read, and that opened up a whole new can of worms.

Moral of the story: RESET YOUR WATCH.

I used about the same amount of time as you. Then when I noticed how much time I was using I tried to go faster. I'm pretty sure I successfully bombed all 4 passages.

OMG this happened to me too, sorta. I didn't start my (analog) timer when she said start only to realize so after like 40 seconds. I knew my time was off by 30s to 1 min from where I was in the passage when I finally started my timer. finally realized when the proctor called 5 mins that I was about 40 seconds off.

RC didn't seem out of the ordinary...except for a particular passage that just sucked.

I made a sound decision for skipping the Kate Chopin and doing it at last. But the RC still killed me anyway. Got a exp. RC and the real one was the last section. RC is always my worst section. Bad luck this time.

How could you tell which RC was experimental and which wasn't?

I must be missing something.................

If you had one in the first three sections and one in the last two, then the one in the first three was experimental. The experimental section will be one of the first three, and there is only one scored RC section.

No, you aren't. The experimental section always falls within the first three sections.

Let's start a "Cancelling the June 2011 LSAT Club". Who's in with me?
haha I'm in! RC was my last passage, and I totally bombed. I felt okay about this test up until RC. the first two passages took me way too long, I panicked and guessed on the majority of the last two passages.

Registered for the October one right after I got home.

I'm mad we didnt get a black history themed passage today. I usually get all of those correct. I suck at the science and philosophy ones because I never understand the terms.

I've seen someone confirmed it in the reply to a post that revealed one of the topics of the second RC.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
