So How Much Improvement Can One Get from Now Until Test Day?

Postby TexanAJ » Thu May 26, 2011 2:36 am

For anyone reading this that took the LSAT already, when it was around 10 days before test day, what did you guys do to study, and did you think it honestly helped increase your score for the LSAT?

And for the ones that will take it in June, what are you doing to get prepared in the final stretch run before the test?

Me personally, I'm constantly doing about 3 drills a day + review, and a Preptest every other day. Hoping to improve by 7 points.

Too much at this point, I think.

If you haven't already taken at least 10 PTs (really, 20+ should be your goal), you're probably not completely ready nor will you be by the June date. Cramming does NOT work for this test.

The primary improvements to make at this point are not going to be conceptual, but rather concentration-related. The swing between being fully concentrated and not can be as much as 10-12 points. If you're ready for June (or dead set on taking it then anyway), you need to know how to calm yourself down or keep yourself roughly in the right mood for the test.

I went -9 from my cold diag 7 days before test day, and then took 3 days off. Ultimate score was +12 from diag. Not that I learned anything in that week, but I figured out how to stay focused during the test.

^I think I'm going to do this except take a test every other day.

Taking a test every single day seems excessive.
