Re: Your very first timed practice test: What did you get?
159 was my very first score, but it wasn't completely cold. It was after a couple days of studying the basics, mostly the LG bible. If I had taken a cold one, I probably would have scored in the low-150s, mayeb 140's

This.OhOkay wrote:Completely cold diagnostics really don't mean much. The difference between my totally-unfamiliar-with-the-test diagnostic and the very next test I took after reading the Bibles was about 13 points. Seriously.

160. Averaging 170 in PTs. Taking in October, another 10-point boost would be nice

I got a 150 while sitting there wondering why everyone was so slow on the last section. Not realizing that I just prematurely stopped at question 19 on RC because I thought it said stop at the bottom of the page. I swear it did.
Final thing got a 167.

cheer up--LGs are easiest to improve. go through the logic games bible twice and master every game therein (except circle games).

Re: Your very first timed practice test: What did you get?
147! To be fair, I really had absolutely no idea what I was getting myself into. I imagine the same is true for you, OP.
One year and minimal studying later I took another and scored 157 (I can't really explain the 10 pt. improvement other than just knowing what would be on the exam). On questions I had doubts about I put my second guess (actually my first guess on many occasions) in parenthesis next to my answer. Had I trusted my instincts more often I would have scored somewhere around 161 IIRC.
I studied for a few months, took a break for school, then studied again for another month before the exam (really kicked it into high gear) and got a 168 on test day. Final PTs were 167-172.

167 was my first timed PT; but, it wasn't cold and was after about a month of working through Bibles.

It all started with a 147 diagnostic

OP, I started at 148 when I took the test cold, and got a 168 on the real LSAT. Don't be discouraged!
