Timer Question

Postby wightjm » Mon May 16, 2011 10:39 am

Would it be beneficial to use a timer like the one off Powerscores site or should I just use an analog watch?

get used to an analog watch. But put a timer in another room and set it for 33 minutes or so. that way you have built in time keepr failures and are used to having less time for each section ( in case time gets called early on game day) Make sure the timer is loud enough so you can hear it and go pencils down immediately.

To study with? Use both. The timer as the strict "put down your pencils" moment and the watch to get you accustomed to properly segmenting your time.

Get this: http://www.amazon.com/TM15t-Design-TM15 ... 986&sr=8-1

Set it for 35 minutes, press start, then put it aside where you can't see it and take the test using an analog watch. It's good to have a harsh buzzer at the end, because if you only have an analog watch, you'll cut yourself breaks that you won't get on test day.
