Battery powered pencil sharpeners

Postby countercouper » Tue Mar 29, 2011 1:10 am

Are small, battery powered pencil sharpeners (like this one: ... B00006IEIF) allowed on test day?

I'm still stunned you can't use mechanical pencils. I haven't used wooden pencils since the third grade. Given how draconian the rules are, I wouldn't be surprised if certain pencil sharpeners were banned too.

Agreed on the wooden pencil bullshit. I couldn't even remember the last time I used wooden pencils.

Not 100%, but I'm pretty sure that your pencil sharpener has to be manual.

Yeah, Panasonic resorted to trolling TLS to sell more pencil sharpeners. Image

As to the question, no not allowed since it is electric. Keep in mind that you are allowed to bring in as many #2 pencils that you can fit into a one gallon zip-lock bag with your other essentials.
