December 2000 first game question

Postby secretad » Mon Mar 07, 2011 6:47 pm

I am having a very difficult time sequencing this game involving the television programs. I am getting confused on how to incorporate the shared variable. I like sequencing it the way testmasters uses, but I am doing the powerscore of bible for extra practice and their way of sequencing does not seem that great. Any help would be appreciated

Any question in particular that you're having trouble with?

From the diagram you can see that the shared variable (S) goes after Q and L. Therefore, it goes after anything that's ahead of Q and L (H, J). This means that S can only be in the last 3 slots (5, 6, or 7). Since one of the rules state that S cannot go seventh, so can only go in slots 5 or 6.

Combining the rules into a single diagram provides a clear map of the interactions.

Since S cannot be seventh, either P or V must occupy that position.

The top one is the powerscore format and the bottom one is testmasters. Any comments on how I could improve the diagrams
