Do schools receive scores sooner than applicant?

Post by risktaker » Tue Mar 01, 2011 3:02 pm

So I took the Feb 2011 LSAT and recently got into a school after being placed on hold. I am wondering if that had anything to do with my Feb LSAT score. Do schools receive the score a few days earlier than the applicant? Thanks in advance.

It would be a train wreck if they did and scores got leaked. At BEST they find out when scores are going to be released (some northwestern guy twittered it for the December test, but he was off by several hours) and even that isn't likely to be true.

it's much more likely that they just re-reviewed your app with your previous score, and decided to take you off hold for one reason or the other

Thanks for the replies. Knew it was too good to be true, haha.

It was the Dean of Admission for Norhwestern. He wasn't off by a few hours. He simply stated that there was a really good chance scores were coming out. And he was right. He did the same thing in October.
