Re: The Official February 2011 Waiting Thread
I actually did worse than Dec!! FML I felt more prepared and my pts were so much better. I did skip around alot during LG and RC on test day. I dont know if i transposed some answers or what. Thats what sucks about this undisclosed test, I will never know

155. Should have cancelled. Taking an LSAT with bronchitis in the middle of stress arising from dealing with a bunch of moronic bureaucrats=hell. And since I was coughing my guts out every waking hour for like 3 weeks leading up to the LSAT, I didn't really study since new year's. But my last practice taken a week before was a 161.
I blocked the whole thing out as soon as I left the building but I was too fucking sick to give a shit. But I figured I would have at least gotten a 16X.

I took it in June with bronchitis mtd. I was also under-prepared, but I seriously underestimated how bad bronchitis was for testing. Ended up 5 points short of my practice average, and was shocked when I got the score because it seemed like I was just uncomfortable but testing fine still. TLDR, bronchitis is sneaky bad for testing.

I'm really pissed that I didn't find this place before I took my December one. I should have cancelled December and just prepared myself for February a couple weeks more.

Well, It's not quite as high as I was hoping but I'm not sure I have another retake in me...It sucks being a splitter, I would totally be happy with this score if it weren't for my gpa.
Also that it's undisclosed and I misbubbled and erased/corrected some answers is driving me crazy. Is it just a result of being totally delusional that I'm considering having my test hand-graded?

Yes, the scoring machine is pretty accurate, even after you've made an erasure.feralinfant wrote:

175 and I'm thrilled. I was testing 175 -180 the last 5 PTs but felt like I bombed on test day. I don't know if I'm just a pessimist or lucky. Congrats to all those who are happy, good luck to anyone retaking.

I have a friend who got a 148 and has ZERO interest in retaking. She has around a 3.0. she plans on applying to schools like Brooklyn, St. John's, Fordham, Pace, New York Law School, Seton Hall. My question is: does she even have a shot at nyls, pace etc? Do I have an obligation to tell her that proceeding to do this is an awful idea

166. I walked out of the testing center feeling pretty good (mostly about LG, the rest was just a blur) but my score was a little lower than what I wanted. I will probably not retake...but I kinda want to

I don't know if I'd call it an obligation, but if you're any kind of friend and think she's doing this without knowing the risks, you should probably tell her gently about how bad of an idea it is.rocon7383 wrote:I have a friend who got a 148 and has ZERO interest in retaking. casually tell her about TLS. that way you have informed her ( say its a great site for application advice- as there is a lot of good advice on here, sometimes you have to take it with a grain of salt and shovel under the snarkiness of some posters), and if she still wants to go on- its all on her.
buy the way shes out at Brooklyn, St.Johns, Fordham, and Seton Hall?
Does she really want to go to NYLS or Pace??

yeah that's the worst part, she speaks confidently about her chances at the Brooklyn and st johns of the world and I feel so horrible knowing shes destined for a huge dissapointment.northwood wrote:rocon7383 wrote:I have a friend who got a 148 and has ZERO interest in retaking. direct her to TLS. Then start to help her prep for the retake, and re assess.

Question:
I didn't send my score to any schools. Why am I getting fee waiver notices by e-mail?
Thanks!

Did you sign up for CRS when you registered for the LSAT? They send scores and information out to schools, who use them to offer applicants fee waivers.
