They did the same thing before the December scores were released. Very annoying.SchopenhauerFTW wrote:I got it as well. I hate getting trolled by schools. I did too. I've actually gotten quite a few similar ones in the past. The caliber of most of these schools seems to be somewhat...lacking (e.g. Cooley). I expect a pretty big torrent of these between now and Friday.kulshan wrote:Who else got that awful email from Florida Coastal this morning with the subject: "LSAT results to be released soon"? Posting from my Droid....guilty of using browser to check in to this thread every 30 minutes. An app would only decrease productivity further..

I know that some of y'all mentioned the dean of Northwestern (possibly?) that had correctly predicted the date/time of the last releases on twitter. What's the twitter screen name to follow?

He doesn't predict them. It's assumed that he has a credible LSAC source who gives him the ok to "leak." Otherwise he would be jeopardizing his career. And so far he hasn't mentioned Feb scores.

At least I know where I might be accepted if I really do get a 148.

Re: The Official February 2011 Waiting Thread
The worst part about this waiting thing is that it is going to set me up for more and more waiting.
Stage 1: This Friday... LSAT score (for applications I have already sent out)
Stage 2: Tuesday the 15th... go to Mexico for 6 days.
Stage 3: (long time frame) Dependent on Stage 1, but waiting for law school answers
Stage 4: Graduation
Stage 5: Nothing until August
I am waiting for all of these things, one after the other. Plus, I am the most impatient person ever. At least I have a lot of stress and free time to spend it in the gym getting ready for all-inclusives in Mexico.

Some of you guys are shooting for extremely high scores! I feel like such a loser now!

Re: The Official February 2011 Waiting Thread
I used to shoot for a 170. Now I just want something higher than a 160 so as to avoid the embarrassment that comes with a 15X.
At least I have an excuse though-I had bronchitis for like 2 weeks beforehand and then a week later I lost my voice.
Cornell's biglaw placement got a whole lot better...wtf. They went from like 41% to 56%. And wtf Vandy, you went from 48% to 27%.

Re: The Official February 2011 Waiting Thread
It's amazing how easy it is to divide two numbers, generate a completely meaningless statistic, then obsess over that number and what it could possibly mean about your chances/potential LSAT score. I scored lower than my target on 20% of all PTs taken. For PTs with a curve of -11, 40% failure rate. That said, two of those five PTs also net me a 180, giving me an acceptable average, albeit an unacceptable variance. I have plotted my progress between all PTs, PTs excluding the first ever, PTs excluding the first ever and first I took after Christmas break (when I didn't study), and PTs 50 and above. Finally, I have gone over multiple plausible permutations of missed questions per section (knowing I missed at least one on games) to see what combinations might conspire to screw me over.
To think, 48 some hours remain until I can reclaim my sanity (or what's left of it)...

The mood swings are just unbearable... Definitely pessimistic about my score at the moment, especially after playing around with the law school predictor. That was a mistake
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
