Just checking in. I'm taking the test Oct. 1 and PTing around 170 right now on the really old tests, so I've no idea what my scores will be on PTs 25+.

Which 20 PTs do you plan on doing starting 10 weeks before the test? Have you done them already?

I'm in a very similar boat as you-- high 160's but I want at least low to mid 170's in Oct.

It's so annoying because I look back at my June test... and if I guessed a bit "better" or avoided a few careless errors I would have hit 170. Agh.

Because your schools don't place as much emphasis on the LSAT.

And you're...less...smart...

Sorry for the thread hijack, Crumps. I'll go to bed and let it get back on-topic.

WHOOO!!!! It's going to happen. Or I'll /self. At this point, even if I get a 170 flat, I'll be disappointed. Who studies this hard and only improves 1 pt at a time? FAIL.
Yeags wrote:Right here with ya Crumps! I'm sorry about June :( You were prepping so well. I felt I was ready too but busted on the real RC, only difference is that I cancelled my score so I'll never know whether my LG/LR were okay. Let's aim for perfection for October :) Even if we don't reach the moon, we'll still land among the stars  By the way, are you planning on re-doing the most recent PTs? I used the most recent ones for June already.
Awww thanks Yeags!!! If you want I'll show you the released booklets so maybe you can work from memory and see what you might've gotten on the actual test (:

I'll be doing 43 to 63. And yes, I've done them already. But I've done all the PTs from 29 on, so there's not much I can do about that. And I know EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN about the annoying mistakes. I missed 1 on LR2, and I went back (without checkign the answers) and re-did the problem and got it right. If I hadn't made that silly mistake, I would have gotten a 170. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU SELF.

45 -- 07/24/11 ----- LR:-1/-3 ; RC: -2 ; LG: -0 -----------94/177

So...not a bad way to start off the re-studying schedule. I'd be more excited if it wasn't for the fact that this is the same scaled score I got last time (-1/-2/-4/-0 split). Soooo technically not much improvement, but oh wellllll.

I'm doing RC drills this week, hopefully this will improve my RC skills on the test. LR drills will follow that, and as long as I maintain -0 LG I should be good to go!!!

PT 57 this weekend...

Split:
LG -0
LR -2
LR -2
RC -3

Raw: 95
Scaled: 175

I WAS excited...until I saw that the first time I took it I'd gotten a 177 (-0/-2/-1/-3)

FMLLLLL. Ugh. It's a little worrying that I'm doing worse that I was doing the first time around. How can I improve?!?!!?!?!?!?! FFFFUUUUU.

Hey! Thanks clouds (: I'm just stressing about doing the same/worse this October. I don't think my fragile psyche could handle another failure.

I've been sort of flaky with my PT schedule--I meant to be doing 2 every week but it's been more like 1 every 2 weeks  From here on out though, I'll be shooting for 1-2 per week from the 45-64 range of tests. My biggest thing with tests (that I haven't been upholding at all  ) is that I want to replicate a normal schedule for the real test--so, waking up at 7, working out, eating breakfast, starting at 9:30 or 10. The problem is that I've been waking up at 10 and starting the test at 11 :\
