Wait a minute I remember that cat, weren't you just preaching against absenteeism??? Anyway, as far as being absent, if you have no cancellations or absences on your record, and you know your not ready go with the absence. The only thing your losing is the right to do so again next time if there is some kind of real emergency. One absence not a problem, two means you better write a damn good addendum.
