Just adding something I read online

Post by jblev1 » Mon Dec 27, 2010 3:47 pm

From what I hear, its a scale not a curve. The curve determines score to percentile. The scale determines score to raw score.

Maybe not this thread itself, but something that will stop people from fighting about how the curve is determined.
I was being sarcastic.

Considering it began with 'from what I hear', that should have been obvious to me. Sorry.

It's cool. But a thread like the one you described might be helpful. It's probably better to have a thread with a link to the LSAC website so nobody can say 'This isn't official'.

I think OP has shown great prowess in his ability to differentiate between scales and curves. I see a top job at LSAC in your future.

I'm pretty sure this guy has been banned once for creating stupid threads. I guess he created a new account. I believe in second chances, but this thread is sketchy.

My god that poster has been doing that since June. Super sketch.
I am not that guy, just showing how the curve is used, and what term people are typically searching for, scale.

That is why IP bans are more effective.

I'll bet he was IP banned, but not permanently. I'm just going off hearsay here, but I think they use perma-ban sparingly.

Plus it isn't that hard to change one's IP address (depending on provider). Takes me 20-30 seconds and I do it frequently when I need do watch/dl stuff which limits my usage by IP/cookies.

Why all the ban talk? I post relevant and good information here and I get ban talked.
