Lol T35 is not a meaningful distinction.

T25. mistype.

Also not really a meaningful distinction, but eh.

Jesus. Ok, a school that is ranked as a pretty fucking good school. t25, t35, whatever.

Mizzou. Because Mizzou sucks, as does the Missouri job market.

NY. Not going to a NY state school because, well, I want to end up in NY?

UNC, I'd take it (if I didn't have better options).

University of Washington.

Actually, a pretty great public law school. But I don't want to limit myself to the PNW (much as I love it) when I'm somewhat sure I can get into more national schools. :)

As a Canadian I feel segregated by the title. A /province would have been nice

I had Oregon and Virginia, both in-state. Oregon doesn't have an economy and UVA was still more expensive than NU.

Alabama.

I feel like just saying that state explains why I wouldn't go to the state school. It's Alabama.

Rutgers. Newark or Camden? Fuck no.

Plus, too many people trying to break into the NYC market, lots of competition from better schools.

Er
Me-Rutgers

I'll apply to both, but I doubt I'll go (especially considering Temple and Seton Hall will probably give me scholarships to make them far cheaper than Rutgers)

UC system FTW.

Living in a failed state and paying $40k in-state FTL

Why, thank you! That is very kind. :)

Good luck to you wherever you go, but perhaps we will meet at UW someday. (I hope I even get in. Even with my good LSAT, I have a terrible GPA.)

Mizzou.

Cheap in-state, and close to one of my kids. So, yeah, I'd go there.

IAFG's new avatart is the best on the forum now.

This post fails on so many levels...

1) Penn is not a STATE school - it's private.
2) Its undergrad program is ranked 5th in the nation (equal to Wharton).
3) Its med program is ranked 2nd in the nation (higher than Wharton, lol).

Now, to be fair, sophia.olive could be referring to the undergrad business program... but if that was the case, a school could only be considered "good" if it was ranked first by USNWR. I sure hope she's getting into Yale for law school, because otherwise she'll be matriculating at some shitty TTT... like Harvard. Or Stanford.

Cali being a "failed state" has nothing to do with its legal market and therefore law schools (fuck, if you get rid of the "failed states" you get rid of SF, LA, NYC, Chi...)

In any case, it is the same immature sniping I see all over these boards (oh man top 25/25/45 is not a meaningful distinction etc etc---well it is on some level unless you consider UIowa and Rutgers the same level, or UW and UO)

But I forget, 1L's who have gone through the application process are massively informed about the legal world

Depends on the school but there are several ways you can count for multiple states, and it's not just because of taxes.

Family in-state could work as well, I think

edit: Also, some schools will offer in-state tuition as part of their package.
