December LSAT Scores Released before New Year's

Post by Arturo » Mon Dec 13, 2010 11:32 pm

What do you guys think? Historically, December LSATs have always been released in late December even though they always have anticipated them being released in January. This test was a week later then most December tests. When do you think they'll release the test scores?

Anticipated date: January 10th (I believe).

I'm thinking it will be out either on Dec 31st or Jan 3rd

I've heard December 30th as a possibility as well.

I don't think so, I would say it's highly unlikely, nut with that being said I don't know how LSAC works.

My money would be on December 29th or 30th. In the past 6 years they have never been released in December, and they have been released 12-13 days early several times.

However, I also like to bet on teams I'm cheering for, and then find a way to rationalize it...

If you were putting odds on it I would say January 3rd would have to be the favorite, followed by January 4th, January 5th, December 30, and December 31 in that order.

I'm pulling this out of my ass of course, but that is my gut feeling.

January you mean, but also consider that this is the latest in the month of December that there has been an LSAT administration, at least in the past 10 years.

And there were 102 questions. That's a lot of extra work, you know.

I've heard some people predicting Dec. 30th. I hope they come out before the New Year, but I'm guessing more like January 3.

My hope is early January so I can at least put off my retake studying until after getting hammered on the eve of the new year

October Test:

Score E-mail Date: 11-01-2010
Real Date: 10-29-2010 (The Friday before)

December Guesstimate:

Score E-mail Date: 01-10-2011
Real Date: 01-07-2011

IMO.

Yes, but the October tests have a consistent pattern of 3 days early. December most definitely does not. The lowest the difference between "score email date" and the real date has been in past years is 4 days. At the latest, we would get them on the 6th, according to that pattern.

See, now that (Octobers release date) doesn't help (or hurt) your prediction much because the trend seems to be that they release tests the same month they were taken -- but you have a point about the prediction date being not-so-far from the actual date. So really, looks like its up in the air.

That's exactly correct given the deviations of the past. Without reading further than this so far, it appears people are forgetting this administration of the December LSAT was later in the month than in previous years.

Also, don't forget the folks in Minn. that haven't even taken the test yet. If all scores are to be released on the same date, I'm going with post-Jan. 3

They will almost assuredly get a completely different test and their scores will be held. LSAC has no problem releasing the majority of the scores and making others wait for weeks, it happens every administration for test center irregularities.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
