Unusually Low Score...
Hey guys just looking to get some general advice.
Here's the situation: I took the Oct LSAT did not hit my goal score of 165, so I'm retaking next weekend. I've been taken about 8 PTs(properly) since I decided I was going to retake, and have been floating around a -20-24. I'm trying to break through to get to my goal. However, today was the third day in a row of a PT, and I honestly didn't feel it going in. I pushed myself to test and BAM! -43! I knew when I was taking the test that it wasn't going well because I just wasn't seeing things(especially LR), which caused me to re-read. As a result I had to guess on a bunch due to running out of time. Notably, the previous two days have entailed 8+ hours of studying(test+review),which I've never done, so I badly want to attribute this performance to overworking.
I've decided to take the rest of the day off.
Any input/suggestions are appreciated!

You're burnt out. Take off today and tomorrow, then pick it up for tues-Thursday, take off Friday, then have some practice problems ready for warming up before you go in the test room.

I was somewhat the same way. I retook in October and didn't score near my PT's of a 163. I would take a day or two break inbetween tests. It allows you to gather your thoughts. If you take one the next day, you could be worrying about misinterpreting questions, causing you to reread. Also, I would only take 1-2 more tests this week. Study yes, look over your answers yes, but don't more than 2 LSATs this week. If it's a Saturday test, take a test Thursday and that's about it. I noticed that when I studied more or took more tests, I didn't do well. I started overthinking and even though I knew the stuff, I started questioning myself. Good Luck!pb1093 wrote:Hey guys just looking to get some general advice.

Re: Unusually Low Score...
I've done that countless times: wasn't feeling it, did some LG or LR and my scores sucked. Took 2-3 days off, did anything non-LSAT and a few days later I was back in business.pb1093 wrote:Hey guys just looking to get some general advice.

Thanks for all the advice. I appreciate it. I think I'm going to only test Tuesday and Thursday and just focus on focusing. Quality over quantity.
Also, someone asked what PT it was this morning. It was PT 49.

Re: Unusually Low Score...
Classic burn out. Rest your brain and take a quick break.
I did the same thing a few days ago. Im also retaking a lower-than-expected October score next weekend. I was doing MUCH better, then forced myself to take a PT when I was tired, unfed, and freezing cold and the next thing you know I was making stupid mistakes and got hit with a -12.
So I backed away and I plan on taking another full PT on Thursday. I took a total break yesterday and Im just going to focus on my weakest section (LG) in the meantime.

Re: Unusually Low Score...
I got a -16 this morning. 166 scaled, but I got -7 on RC which is absolutely abysmal...
I was about to take another one now but should I take a break until tomorrow?
