It was about $50 altogether for Cracking the LSAT and the most recent 10 Actuals. Then I qualified to train to teach LSAT, so I got a bunch more PTs for free and got paid to learn the rest of it.

Nice one!
I'm trying to find a term for this that's more appropriate than 'pimp status.'
Everyone of course got 2 free practice tests, so that should be noted.

I was so unprepared for the whole law school process...I thought I was right on schedule, and then I see tons of kids are done with their apps by the time I took the LSAT.

Makes me absolutely kick myself for not going balls to the wall on the LSAT and maybe scoring something absurd.

You can always retake if you think you'll do better. :)

Here's a question I've been wondering for a while, and I'd like to see what people think: do you believe in an upper limit for an individual's score? Like, even if they studied eight hours a day for months leading up to the test, they would never score over, I dunno, a 172 or something.

If there is such a limit, how do you know you've achieved it? Just by looking at your diagnostics? How many diagnostics do you take before you're sure?

What? That's impossible...they would never make any $.
I'm guessing a "score X amount of points higher than a diagnostic or your money back" deal? And you're already at like a 17x?

Interesting question then: Would you pay 690$ to go from a 179 to a 180? Haha I don't want to get too far off topic, but its an equivalent question.
It's 5 point+ guarantee off of the highest of either a real LSAT or a diagnostic.
I have 168 on my real thing and 175 on their diagnostic.

Called them and offered to compromise basically because frankly them guaranteeing me a 180 is ridiculous. The girl on the phone seemed unconcerned and said "Sounds like you are probably getting your money back"

The only stipulation is you attend all classes (And even if you miss you can watch them on demand to make up) and do all required homework, which is all practice problems from actual LSATs. It has been a very useful class and I am confident they are well worth the cost, but given that I'm going to qualify for money back guarantee, I will happily take my refund and offer to write them a nice testimonial if I do exceptionally well.

As an online course though, their costs don't go up by having me in class, so I can understand being indifferent to someone having an almost guaranteed refund. Especially if they can claim that their class led to someone getting a 17X.

Around $250, but its totally worth it when you get a good score and start racking up fee waivers and scholarships.

I'd say about $150 for two of the "10 tests" books, a couple of strategy books, and 3 individual preptests.

I personally think everyone has a limit as for how much they can improve. Sure you can master the test, and get a 175+ but for some people it will take years, other just months. Or it takes you all day to complete the test ( untimed) If you see that you've hit a high score, and have been consistently scoring there for over 5 consecutive tests, even after drilling, reviewing and writing out answers and why they are wrong. then I would say that the person has maxed out. You have to be logical. Its not practical to study for the test for years on end. Sometimes you just have to call it a day and move on to something else.

500 for the course
400 for 3 LSAT registrations plus 35 for test center change
PT's 40-59 @ 8 per test = 160
2 books of 10 = 50

I know the question is LSAT prep, but I feel that the registrations should be included, its more interesting to see how much one spends on the LSAT experience itself in its entirety.

This doesn't belong here. Make a new thread or search around. I assume some opinions have been posted somewhere. Interesting question though.

McGraw-Hill's study guide was really bad also...sorry I spent the $11 on it. Then I heard someone on here used examville, so I spent $28 on that, and that was crap also...FYI to others: don't try and save money when it comes to studying for this test. Get whatever you have to to do well.
