So I was thinking of not doing a prep course but I won a $725 voucher for testmasters = 1/2 off at my schools law school fair should I do the course? I have all the bibles and stuff. I have until October 2011 to study but I was thinking why not just add it in right before the test since its half off would it be worth it?

I took a testmasters course and would highly recommend it. But then I'm a lazy bum who needs to be pushed to do things.
I never used bibles or other prep books, but the TM books drill you on specific question types, e.g. you have all the "weaken" questions in one booklet, or 15 RC passages in one, which makes it convenient when you want to work on specific weaknesses. I think you also get access to every lsat question ever published (through the TM website) while you're in the course, so it's a good value. Good luck studying!

Take the class. $750 is a great deal.

I can't provide input on the full TM course, but the weekend course was an absolute worthless piece of $^&!

I think this should be sufficient for you to spend the money.

I scored a 158 on the June test while taking TM. Not a great score. Realized I had some errors, realized how to fix them and got creative. I paid for the repeater class to get the prep materials again and decided to go to as many classes as I could. I scored a 166 on the October test.

The money I saved in fee waivers is probably more than $725.

Edit: Is definitely more than $725 and this is counting only the schools I want to apply to.

My score went up 22 points after taking testmasters full class. And I only took the test once, so it had to be their methods/info that helped facilitate such a jump.

Half price is great - you should do it.
