Do schools care if you apply a 2nd time in the next cycle?

If you send in your apps, but think that you might do better in the next cycle (better personal statements, ED'ing, etc) and decide to apply again next cycle, will you suffer any negative consequences?

I think they usually say "Wow what a loser, we didn't let this kid in and now he is begging us again. Guards, escort this application to the furnace"

This is a good question. Some schools specificy that they DONT refer to previous years' materials when evaluating you for the second (or third) time. Check with each school individually if youre really curious.
