Had a pretty mediocre writing sample-is that tragic?

Postby pppokerface » Mon Nov 01, 2010 5:07 pm

It was never really emphasized in my LSAT class, and I worked on it, but it wasn't particularly great...or long. Other than my hard factors-if everything else in my application-such as the personal statement, LORs etc are good...will it still be OK =/
I just read an interview from the dean of U Michigan who said that they raise their eyebrows if you write 3/4ths of a page in the writing sample. I'm ashamed to say I did that...I was just burnt out and convinced I screwed up on games.

Raise eyebrows != reject
You should be fine. I can't imagine it makes a big difference unless you're RIGHT on the cusp. (Then again, you might be in that situation...)
