Post by jarofsoup » Fri Oct 29, 2010 10:00 pm

i got 1 point lower. about 20 pts lower than where i was practicing. As much as I'd like to believe there was a mistake I'm 100% sure i managed to mess it up somehow.

+12 baby, freaked out in June and hit 11 points below what I should have. Made up for it (although addendum writing will have to commence :( )

Did you guys pick up studying immediately after your initial exam? Or did you take a bit of a break?

I was initially mad as hell. But then I started slowly studying again probably about a week later. After I reached a certain point in August I just started PTing again. Went back to school in september and just did two PTs a week. Never took a straight up 5 until the week before which probably hurt me as I got tired during the 3rd section, but it's all good. I can dream again. Could I be the first person in my family to go a good law program? God willing I'll try.

I got the same score. I have come to terms with my score and so it didn't really phase me, in fact, I was expecting to score lower and freaking about writing an addendum. I have been choosing my schools wisely and am just focusing on a few schools that are at least in the T100. I'm URM so I at least am glad I did 14 pts better than the average for African Americans.

I took it in June and didn't start studying again until September. The first time I scored it I scored -5 my average PT score, and I think I was very burned out from studying too much. The second time I signed up for the weekend Powerscore class, then studied every night that week except for Friday. Ended up scoring +4 my average PT!

I believe that the average for African Americans is around 143, but that is according to if I remember correctly the Ivey Guide to Law School Admissions.

165 June, 172 Oct. I started studying for Oct back in mid August. Read the bibles for the first time and went through PTs 50-59 in the month and a half preceding the test.

In my defense, I didn't really study seriously after June. My mother had a heart attack soon after I got my score and I spent a good chunk of my summer taking care of her and managing the household. I tried to pick up studying in September but I started school and I was busier than I thought I would be. I wasn't expecting higher and I was worried about getting lower so I guess I am content. My score is no where near good based on what most people on TLS are saying but I am a horrible test taker and I can get into the schools I want with my score.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
