my school is really evenly distributed, the boxes ranging from 4-8. I wonder what HYP looks like. Anyone?
luckily, the GPA distribution shows off our low GPA average, so my 3.5 looks better when only 3% get 3.8+

I haven't sent in my transcripts so I don't know how my school measures up. I go to a big public university that's pretty competetive though and I would imagine we would have a pretty good showing.

My school's distribution was pretty even across most of the boxes, with a slight uptick in the above-90 range. I thought, thinking my school was a Good School, that it might be more exaggerated than that, but I talked with some people at my testing center and my eyes were opened.
Yep, my undergrad had a TTTT Law School. Not sure how to post it has a pic but the results are:
0-19: 38
20-24: 9
25-29: 6
30-34: 7
35-39: 6
40-44: 6
45-49: 4
50-54: 4
55-59: 4
60-64: 3
65-69: 3
70-74: 3
75-79: 2
80-84: 2
85-89: 1
90-94:1
95+: 1
Unfortunately, I'm assuming my 2006/08 LSATs are up there in the data in the 36/40% range. I think I made 85% on Oct, so hopefully that will help the stats out. But my school is still pretty bad.

It's hard to claim you're awesome when your BA is from as poor of a school as mine is. I have been incredibly fortunate to have the opportunities I've had and I actually attribute it all to an amazing undergraduate mentor.naterj wrote:JurisDoctorate wrote:Yea, I scored a 155 on my diagnostic and was in the 160's within days.JurisDoctorate wrote:I was invited to a prospectives weekend at a top 10 school for a Psychology PhD program.JurisDoctorate wrote:I was accepted before the weekend was out. I do apologize if I came off as a braggart, I assure you it wasn't my intent.

158 is the LSAT average at my school.
We're not an amazing school but I do believe I'm the clubhouse leader (or anti-leader)...

meh, my UG is 19% at 90th percentile or above LSAT with a mean of 155. n=134 though, is that a small sample?
my first ug's mean is 145. yikes.
on a related note, my ug's LSAC mean gpa was 3.07. i'm pretty sure actual median was around 2.8. anyone lower than that?

My college's mean is 162. Which is kind of decent, but not as good as it could be.

90th percentile is still good. Technically, anything under a 180 is not as good as it could beapplepiecrust wrote:My college's mean is 162. Which is kind of decent, but not as good as it could be.

Maybe undergrad matters then, but not in the ways people at "elite" schools would like to think it does?
Maybe it just matters in that if you're around more driven/motivated people, you are more likely to motivate yourself to do better.
Prestige of undergrad doesn't mean S**t though (unless it's certain very specific schools, in which case the prestige opens doors to alumni networks and such).

Yea, I scored a 155 on my diagnostic and was in the 160's within days.
In all honesty, with my college experience, I feel like I should write a diversity statement.
I was invited to a prospectives weekend at a top 10 school for a Psychology PhD program. Students were from Cornell, Harvard, Stanford, Yale, MIT, etc.; no one was even from a school that was outside of the top 20.

Pretty good distribution, I guess, especially since the law school doesn't require the LSATs
Mean of 159
