Oct LSAT score release date
The release date usually varies from the date advertised by LSAC. Historically, when can we expect to get our scores?

October 29th, emails will start going out in the afternoon and continue in batches until midnight or so.

Oh noes! I will be walking a 60 mile mountain trail in the last 3 days of October. Should I cancel the trip then?!

Hey nulli! How've you been? How do you feel about your LSAT?
I think it depends on the following:
1) How obsessive/neurotic are you - will you be able to enjoy the mountain trail at all, or will you just spend the time wishing you had internet access?
2) Is there cell phone service where you're going? Can you read emails through your cell phone?
3) Is canceling/rescheduling the trip an option?

Re: Oct LSAT score release date
1 - I ll probably be eating my boots if following scenario or anything remotely similar to it comes true: "LSAT scores are mailed, I have no internet".
2 - Doubtful, though I might have internet access in the places we will spend the nights in, we will not be camping in nights. I can normally check e-mails through my cell phone but not the one LSAC uses, since, for some stupid reason (to say "this is serious e-mail. I r serious candidate"???) I gave LSAC my work e-mail address with a .gov extension, due to some stupid security feature I cannot check it via cell phone.
3- Cancelling is, but rescheduling probably is not.
As for the exam itself, due to a timing fail, I had to guess last 3 questions of RC (all Ds), as for the rest, its anybody's guess, but historically my LG has always been good and this one felt normal, so -0 is likely, but LR, who knows. Thats it.

Re: Oct LSAT score release date
Can you forward your gov mails to your cell phone readable email account?
International LSAC takers usually get their scores much closer to midnight than 3pm EST, if that helps anything.

About forwarding probably not, and midnight 29 Oct = early morning 30 Oct here so hmmm. Meh.

Can you have someone check for you (do you trust anyone enough to give them either your LSAC or email acct password) and text you the score so you pick it up when you get some cell service?
Also, does LSAC let you change the email address they use?

the June score was released 18 days after (June 07, June 25), so we could start getting emails on Oct 27 in stead of 29th.

you could. But the Feb scores were released a day after the traditional/historic "early" date. So... it depends.

The June test was also a Monday (and therefore during the business week), whereas this October was a Saturday, so there was probably a bit of weekend lag somewhere along the way.

The June test was a Monday though. IIRC the Sept/Oct scores have always come out the Friday before the scheduled Monday release date for the past 5 years, so Oct 29 looks like a pretty safe bet.

Yeah, I'd bet money that the scores come out on Oct 29.

That was because of snow ins that caused MANY people to take the exam over a week later (and these people still got their scores back then)
I'm thinking it's going to be the 29th.
Hey, check your score on the 27th if you want though. Can't hurt. Just don't obsessively check it for days.

I wont be checking until the 29th, I'm sure if its any earlier than that, TLS will definately let me know...

email changes at LSAC are virtually immediate. You can change it for that weekend and then change it back after you get the score. . . .it takes seconds.

Nulli, do not cancel your trip. Do not re schedule your trip. Chill out and enjoy the mountains and the company of good friends. Take a step back and assess your priorities. The LSAT is very important, and I respect your wanting to do everything you can to succeed at it, but is it really worth canceling something like this so you can know your score a few days earlier? I certainly would not.

Nulli, if you have your cell phone, can you assign somebody you trust to check LSAC for you and give you a call/text when your score is posted?
Also, when people say afternoon to midnight, are they referring to 3pm EST - 12am EST? I saw a 3PM EST somewhere in here. I'm PST so that would be like 12 PM - 9PM, y/y? I don't want to be up all night waiting for my score, I work the next day. But my friend did get me to switch with her so now I work a later shift so it won't really matter if I'm up later haha.

Yep it's EST. I think the scores are all out before midnight, although I might be remembering wrong. They go out by test center but the order of the test centers seems random - not by test center code, or by region, etc.

See, I'm anticipating needing another 2-3 hours after the LSAT to either a) get sad and smashed and watch a Harry Potter movie to drown/forget my sorrows or b) get excited and smashed and watch a Harry Potter movie so that I'm calm enough to sleep. So by 9pm would be ideal.
I hope I'm able to do something constructive on score release day. I'll probably end up working on an essay or something and set word goals and then check for my score. As in write 200 words and check for score, lather, rinse, repeat. I have about 10000 words due by mid-November. This could be a powerful essay aid.

Re: Oct LSAT score release date
Thanks everyone. Well my plan was to upload every additional document and press submit the minute scores are out (of course if my score isnt something laughable), so that's why I am obsessing over the ability to learn it ASAP. But meh, this will all be over soon
