I have heard that this is a possibility. Can you pay more to LSAC to have your results returned early and allow you to get in applications earlier? I'm wondering because if it is possible, it may be worthwhile to do so given that I am taking the December exam and hopefully going for a one and done with the LSAT.

No. The test results will be emailed to you (likely) a few days before the scheduled release date.

LSAC could make a ton of money if you could get your score early. I think its incredibly useless to have a 3+week waiting period, when many people are getting applications ready to apply once scores come out - if you had advance warning you bombed the test it would save you time

If you kindly request an early test score, they will kindly tell you to **** off. Yeah, they would make money and lots of it if they offered an early results option. But think about the position that puts them in. They would have an incentive to rush the scoring and lead to possible errors. To them, it just isn't worth the tradeoff.

Yeah there's no way to get your score earlier than that time. I would start worrying about the application process as a whole if someone could actually get his or her score sooner.

No way, I heard they start doing the calculations just a few days after the testing date. Thats why people who cancel after 4, 5 or 6 days' scores are still factored into the equating process.

On a side note, how much would you be willing to pay to get your score early?

My max would be about $250. Otherwise I'd wait.

Eh I dont know. I wonder how they ship it. Air male, UPS, Fedex. Got to ship it from all over the world.

They have to sort them by test type, scan them, and work out security crap, and deal with irregularities and misconduct.

Must be a beuracratic mad house right now.

I would pay $200. An extra 3 weeks of time to get applications in and be considered? Could be HUGE.

$125 Canadian and I would surely do it. Anything more would be ludicrous: you know how much beer you can buy for that kind of cash?

I was thinking about this the day of the test. What if LSAT offered a few test centers where you could get an instant score. Obviously it would be preliminary and subject to them checking it over and such, but how much would people be willing to pay just for the security of knowing pretty reliably how they did the instant they got out of the test?

That obviously assumes the curve is set before the test as well.
