Girl: I heard law schools average your LSAT scores
Me: Depends on the school. Where are you going?
Girl: Cooley
Me: ...

Then I turned away. Yes, she really did say she's going to Cooley.

"I'm using my phone but it's on silent and in airplane mode". Proctors were nice about it though and since it was way before test started had it turned off and kept with someone outside until all tests collected

From last fall. I love awkward LSAT small talk...

Dude: "So uh, what kind of law are you interested in?"
Girl: "I've been thinking tax law, which is what my dad does. Plus thats where the money is."
Dude: "Oh yeah, I'm definitely all about the money at this point. I put in my time as a firefighter for like 15 years, and its time to make real money for once."
Girl: "Really? Firefighting sounds cool."
Dude: "Yeah its a pretty sweet job, but I want that cush salary, ya know? So I'm taking the LSAT and MCAT just to see what happens. I think I could make bank as a plastic surgeon so I'd rather do med school, but I figure it can't hurt to give the law thing a shot. Plus this test sounds easier, with no science or anything. Did you study much?"
Girl: "Yeah I did a prep course actually."
Dude: "Nice, I lucked out sittin next to you then-- haha, kidding! Seriously though, I was at Barnes and Noble on Monday and thought about picking up an LSAT study thing. But I was like, really, what's the point?"
Girl: "Oh yeah, I know what you mean..."
Dude: "So how many math sections are on here?"

proctor "what do you mean?"
Me "um well theres only one letter but place for two, so should i leave one blank or..what"
proctor "just do what you think is best"
Me "ok, thanks for your help"
-wasnt trying to be sarcastic its just a reaction to say that
5 minutes later
girl "excuse me i only have one letter on my sheet..."

This thread is full of undeserved elitism. Yet I cannot bear to tear myself away.

One guy got turned away today, because he did not affix a picture to his ticket. He said "I thought I just needed a picture ID."

A girl asked "are you going to tell us which section is experimental?"

Not overheard, but saw. Girls please don't wear black leggings when you know you'll be sitting down for 5-7 hours. The lines of sweat betwixt your cheeks cannot be unseen, and contributed negatively to my performance. :|

My place was really lenient. In the middle of the test someone's phone started vibrating and someone's watch started beeping. I don't think anyone got dismissed, but maybe I was in the zone (not likely).

Overheard at the LSAT...

...a trumpet/horn/trombone (? didn't try to identify it) warming up nearby during last multiple choice section. It was annoying.

Also, some girl had a cell phone with her and was freaking out because she didn't have a place to stash it, but someone was nice enough to let her put it in their car.

*Guy looks in dismay at the yellow violation paper he received*
Guy 1: "What does this mean?"
Guy 2: "They think you cheated."
Guy 1: "WTF no I didn't"
Guy 2: "Did you fill in bubbles after time was called?"
Guy 1: "Yes"

My place was lax too. Some chick got into her ziploc during the writing sample to get out her glasses case and put her glasses away. All she got was clucked at by the proctor. Another girl "forgot" to fill out her serial number or something in the bubbles and did it when she wasn't supposed to and got a dirty look from the proctor.

Tons of people tried to take in books, analog watches, cell phones, etc. But the lead proctor gathered everyone before admittance to inspect EVERYONE's plastic bags for such materials and allowed them to stash them somewhere. So no one got in trouble.

Gotta feel bad for that guy, really. He broke the rules, but he didn't think he was breaking the rules (taking his comments at face value). Totally his fault, and I'm glad LSAC is vigilant about this stuff, but he may have just destroyed his law school dreams by not paying attention to the proctor's instructions.
