On a slightly related side note. At my school the LSAT happened to fall on the day of our school's rivalry game (football). The whole campus was pretty much full of drunk pregaming people. I was worried it would be loud, but it was surprisingly quiet in the test room. Everyone was dressed for the football game though lol.

I also found everyone to be really nice. Not too competitive. It was a nice atmosphere.

I don't have any other funny stories. Except that I walked through the building early (about 2 hours before the test started) just as a short cut on my way to somewhere else and saw that there were already like 12 people waiting outside the test room. Wow, getting there that early would make me way to nervous.

Not quite, as someone had vomited before the break and i stepped in it, so when we left i remembered to sashay and avoid it.

the prospects were good, until the office created a super annoying character who went there.. Now cornell has a horrible reputation for every program it offers. (no it doesnt, its still a fantastic school)

Yo why do people hate on Cornell? Seems like a decent school and a relatively easy way into the top 14.

People hate on Cornell because of its relatively low numbers, the fact that it's arguably the worst T14, and that it dares to call itself an IVY. To be fair, it was sort of a NYCbiglaw-or-bust type of school, and this past year it got crushed in NLJ250 placement, being beaten by the likes of Vanderbilt and Georgetown (and practically tying with USC). But overall, making fun of Cornell is like making jokes about the worst guy on the NBA All-Star Team. It can be fun to mock, but it's still one of the best.

At my testing location they split us up alphabetically and all the M-Z were in my room. (Kinda sucked b/c the 1st half of the alphabet actually got TABLES and we had those tiny little fold-over lecture desks...). Anyway, this one guy went up to the proctor during check-in:

Guy: So, my ticket says we're in X Hall. But you guys put the M-Z in here instead. I want to test there. Why can't I test there?
Proctor: Well what's your last name?
Guy: Z.

In all fairness we got tables at mine but my score would probably be about two points lower on those crappy little fold down things

True fact. We had very shitty foldout desk things at the center I was at. Now I'll know if doing a prep test on a Paris-New york flight's economy seat (and several practice sessions on other long haul flights) paid in terms of adjusting to shitty testing locations -- you really can't get shittier than economy seats on long distance flights.

So a little bit of background info:

During the June test this one guy did not know his SSN. I was more concerned about my test, so I did not really pay attention to what happened with him.

During the OCT test the same guy was there, still didn't know his social, and I caught all of the interaction between him and the proctor.

Guy "What if we don't know our social security number"
Proctor "Really? You don't know it"
Guy "I have never had to use it"
Proctor "How old are you?"
Guy "23, I am senior"
Proctor "Do you have it written down somewhere?"
Guy "I am sure my mom does"
Proctor "Your mom is here right now?"
Guy "No, but I could call her"
Proctor "How?"
Guy "I have my cell-phone, it will be quick, I promise" - Dude whips out his cell, it is of course an iPhone.
Proctor "Those aren't allowed"
Guy "But you asked, and it was in my pocket on vibrate"
Proctor "Come outside with me"

They left, came back, dude sat the exam; could not believe I had witnessed that interaction.

Ouch, I didn't remember my SSN either *facepalm*. I kept shut about it and left the section blank. FAILZ!
In my defense, I'm not American and don't ever really use my SSN (except for filling out tax forms and I-9s on the rare occasion that I have to fill them out). But this is a good reminder that I REALLY should memorize my SSN!

I messed up where my last name fell in the alphabet to figure out which room to go to. Also I had trouble putting my thumbprint on the paper. I ended up ruining both boxes and had to make a third print to the left.

I attribute it to nerves. Luckily though those turned out my biggest challenges of the LSAT.
